The time has come for me to learn puripurna matsyendrasana anyone have any tips?
If you have a strong lotus, It should be fairly simple. Are you doing Ashtanga? If so, there are plenty of postures before it that are similar so it shouldn’t be too bad. I call those poses the “resting poses” in Ashtanga. LOL
thanks, i have a pretty strong lotus, I’m not doing astanga nor iyengar, but a more classical style of yoga,
problem with the matsendrasana is almost the balance I find, being able to sit on one thigh with one foot in lotus and the other foot reaching over the knee to the floor,
I’ll get there!
What type are you practicing if you don’t mind me asking?
it doesn’t really fall under a specific style, but you could compare it to satyananda or that of andre van lysebeth…
my master has been teaching for more than 30 years and has his own way
Anyway hatha/raja yoga with a bit of nada!
I like to learn tricky asanas just for fun!
I’ve have done some ‘ashtanga’, I enjoy it but I also like to feel what my body-mind needs when I do my home pratice
I’m still waiting for other tips for paripurna matsyendrasa…
