Hello Jillian, remember that Yoga Alliance is not the ultimate law. In India there is no such thing as an “ALLIANCE” that approves if you are suitable to teach or not. It should be your teacher’s call. A good example Bryan Kest, his training is not certified by Yoga Alliance because he believes that the only thing this people want is to make money at the expense of the yoga community. And I agree. I also believe that being certifies by them is just a bonus. So instead of worrying about who certifies your training, research on your teachers backgrounds. Follow your heart, find the teacher that shares your philosophy and style.

And I don’t know if you are interested but I just signed in for an awesome YOGA RETREAT IN TULUM, MEXICO with VASANA YOGA, the teacher is great! she is jung and have a really fun Ashtanga practice, check the site of Vasana Yoga.Com

I hope you find this helpful,
Namaste!
