I dont need to tell you because you already know what to do, I assume you practice yoga therefore you must have come across knowledge, techniques regarding the chakras…the only thing I can say is that you have not cultivated the right mind to experience the immense power of the chakras. Cynicism, sarcasm anger wrong speech, all of these things will inhibit the chakras from awakening.
The word theory means contemplation or speculation as opposed to action…it is the action you are not experiencing, hence your disbelief…The chakras are not a theory for those who know how to cultivate the right mind to bring about their action BUT this requres dicipline and this is what is usually lacking in the majority human beings…we want the gain quickly and easily…laziness, a fundamental weakness in us human beings.
I have the answer please take the action. Go back to the very basics (and nothing more is required) of Buddhism Right speech/writing etc etc then practice on the heart and ajna chakras together. I can see you are an intelligent man so I dont want to patronise you in any way.
It is a beautiful day in England, a bit cold but the sun is shining, I am off to check my chickens who have been let loose. I will be back in a while…
