Hi all,
I just started taking cold showers about two weeks ago. Now when I get out of the shower, I’m not cold and the mirrors don’t even fog up. Haven’t worked my way up to a full-blown cold shower for the whole time but I’m working on it.
Was reading how in the ancient days when there was no hot water, people took cold showers, were in tune with nature, and this resulted in long, deep breathing. One of the first things I noticed when taking a cold shower was immediate deep breathing. Although, my first time almost resulted going into shock, so be sure to use careful practice.
According to Earth Clinic, cold showers have the following positive benefits:

[li]Cleans the circulatory system.[/li]> [/ul]
[ul]
[li]Reduces blood pressure on internal organs.[/li]> [/ul]
[ul]
[li]Provides flushing for the organs and provides a new supply of blood.[/li]> [/ul]
[ul]
[li]Strengthens the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems.[/li]> [/ul]
[ul]
[li]Contracts the muscles to eliminate toxins and poisonous wastes.[/li]> [/ul]
[ul]
[li]Strengthens the mucous membranes, which help resist hay fever, allergies, colds, coughs.[/li]> [/ul]
