Questions about yoga for climbing

I’m a climber and I wanted to know about what kind of yoga positions might be more beneficial for climbing.

I use the muscles around my shoulder blades alot. I also extend the balls and toes of my feet alot. I also stretch my arms quite a bit. Balance is extremely important. Any tips for specifically working on balance?

I’m a climber as well.

I find that leg flexibility is essential. I was just on a climb, and I only got past the final 3rd by doing what amounts to a spilt in mid air. For this, splits, and the forward bend cycle work well.

For arms, I would suggest the scorpion, the lotus variations which involve your arms supporting your folded body, peacock, and most of the crow variations, especially the handstand.

I find the wheel to be excellent for stretching and strengthening the core of your body.

If you shoulders are sore, I’d say spend some time in up and down dog.

thank you very much

Alot of that, I have already found to be true; I look forward to practicing those moves in particular before climbing
