Quotation from Nelson Mandela

OUR GREATEST FEAR IS NOT THAT WE ARE INADEQUATE.
OUR DEEPEST FEAR IS THAT WE ARE POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and
fabulous?”

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God: your playing small doesn’t serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t
feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.

It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone, and as we let our own light
shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others.

Nelson Mandela

Hi Chandra, great stuff, isn’t it? Just for the record, apparently, he (NM) was using a piece written by Marriane Williamson (http://www.spiritwalk.org/williamson.htm)
Komai

You probably have gotten several replies already. Someone sent me this beautiful speech saying it was from Nelson Mandela but actually it was written by Marianne Williamson.

I was about to post this passage by Marianne Williamson and decided to conduct a search first, to see if anyone else already had. I’m glad I did. It is my absolute favorite. I carry a printout of it in my purse. Thanks for sharing it!
