PLRD focuses on conducting in-depth research on yoga philosophy and literature. As one of the pioneers in the research of yogic thought, PLRD received the status of Department of Philosophical and Literary Research in 1944.
Having a deep interest in yogic literature, Swami Kuvalayananda collected texts from all sources, with the aim of creating a global database of yogic messages. His methodology in yoga continues to follow the ethical, social, philosophical, and spiritual applications of yoga through various schools of thought.
Continuing that legacy, PLRD ensures that yogic principles and practices are done in a meaningful way, while retaining the essentials of traditional yoga. Through research, at PLRD, we aim to improve and explore different yogic concepts. PLRD has a team of experienced and competent subject matter experts, including academics, researchers, writers and academics.
