Scoliosis

Hello, It seems that almost every q and a series includes a question about scoliosis, so I thought I would ask you if you would like to pass on a piece of information about a scoliosis treatment clinic (three dimensional scoliosis treatment) here in Germany. It is called the Katharina-Schroth-Klinik and information (also in English) can be found at http://www.skoliose.com. I myself have been in physical therapy treatment with a therapist trained at the clinic, and am deeply impressed by and grateful for the method. I have much less pain, have for the first time found ways to avoid irritating my scoliosis, and feel that parts of my body, which were numb, have been reawaken. I personally feel that my yoga training worsened my scoliosis (not that all does, of course, but many teachers and students do not know how to work with scoliosis, almost impossible in a group situation) and I now find that I can practice yoga (and carry groceries) in ways, which take my curvy spine into account. Most patients at the clinic are in their teens, more girls than boys. My therapist was there recently for a seminar and said that while the patients do work very hard there, the atmosphere was very friendly and supportive – often even fun. Thank you once again for this forum.

Be well, DD
