Search of Ancient Yogic technique

Dear AmirMourad,

I did not mean to hurt anybody’s ongoing practices, methods or efforts to achieve the common goal of mankind which is self-realization.
By childish, I mean, when I read some academic book or science, I follow theories and practical perceivable by senses and limited intellect (brain).
Whereas Prana, Samskar and Vritti are elements which are not perceivable by intellect or senses.
Simply saying, the DOG WHISTLE when blown is audible to dog but not to human. That does not mean whistle was not blown; when dog reacted, but it was audible by human.
And to learn extra sensory or yogic science there is no other way but pray with deep devotion for such a Master who is full of Yogic knowledge but has renounced the worldly wishes. Otherwise we do find may professional nowadays!
I do appreciate that you realized that , we need to get out of cause and effect network and we need release from sufferings caused by ignorance or unconsciousness.Realising, great efforts are needed to overcome this cycle is good step though again is bound by ignorance and limited by body-mind-intellect consciousness.
Here chance of getting into delusion is more because the efforts are made again the same level of consciousness ( in ignorance ).
This ignorance and delusion again is kind of stain or cloud accumulated upon prana or life-force which remains stain free or un affected by delusion of mind.
Otherwise you won’t wake up after you sleep OR
you never wanted to sleep at your own will OR
you would be able to sleep and awake at exact time you wanted voluntarily.
The delusion or ripples of mind can be brought at rest or standstill position by an element which is superior to mind.
This pran or life-force is the true nature of mankind. Once realized , the so strong and troubling factor or delusion vanishes like darkness vanishes by arrival of night.
Now, it’s up to an individual whether to go to a doctor or start exercising and take vitamin after you realize that you are at critical level of disease.
Doctor may diagnose and know suggest simple remedies or may do surgical treatments.
“By Everything is GOD done”… I mean, the in-volunteer happenings required for purification of past impressions and karmas( deeds) of individual those were done un-consciously or in-ignorance.
If surrendering or submitting the mind ( ignorance/delusion) to maha pran or absolute super consciousness or simply the pure air (in volunteer breathing) is dangerous then, the efforts made to get free from delusions, ignorance can be more harmful.
The true wisdom can be seen only in quiet or equi poise state of mind ( or thoughtless state of being/ mindless).
This state can be easily observed by surrendering your self to your own breathing which is termed as Pran Shakti (pure air or dormant kundalini) in yogic science.
This science is more of realization. Guru is lighthouse on this path who directs you towards right path. The state of ignorance is like when you find you own glasses all around while they rest on your forehead; guru just drops those glasses on your nose. The vision changes and you see the actual picture and not delusion.
As, Ant may take more time to reach top of the tree compared to Monkey, a Bird may fly directly to the fruit and taste nectar. This path has been described as BirdPath or Mahayoga in scriptures. It does not mean to criticize other practices or path. They deserve the same effect and one may get according to his/her preparedness or past impressions.
Just wanted to convey the simplicity and easiness of this path.
Realization may bring true wisdom. Without experience one is at same point as before.

May mother energy bless you all with her divine happiness and joy !

Always at his feet,
Jayant Sande
It takes too much time to say it all. Just read the writings of Yogananda. He uses cosmic energy and prana alternatively, and he explains why.

The lineage of Yogananda gurus:

Babaji—Lahiri Mahasaya----Sri Yukteswar----Yogananda

It takes a lot to contradict them.
An ounce of practice is worth a ton of theory. ~ Swami Sivananda.

dear jayant,
This path has been described as BirdPath or Mahayoga in scriptures.[QUOTE/]
Pray please quote the scriptures. Don’t just use such weight on your quotes blindly.
further, there are no free lunches in life. please don’t misguide. Saktipat is as valid these days as finding a unicorn or a yeti.

An ounce of practice is worth a ton of theory. ~ Swami Sivananda.

is more profound answer to all questions here in !
It is worth to experience atleast one sutra from Hathyoga pradipika, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Upanishads, Bhagvat, Guru Geeta, Avdhut Geeta, Ashtawakra Geeta,BhagvatGeeta, Ramayan.
I have mentioned names of few ancient books above and below are few to refer.
Yogvasistha? ,Kularnava Tantra, Shivanandalahari, Shiv Samhita, Gherand Samhita,Bhavarth-dipika,Dnyaneshwari,Dasbodh,AmrutAnubhav,
'Suta-Sanhita? of the ?Skand-Puran?,
(Nath sampraday) The Nath cult is the most noted of all the cults in initiating the disciple through the transmission of power.
I agree there are rare seers and sages like before…but they are and they will remain till the earth, sun, moon and mankind is live.
Everybody might be aware of Mahavtar Babaji’s being, living and manifesting even today wherever and whenever he wants.
If you read avdhut geeta, Lord Dattatreya clearly mentions how the initiation differes. The English translation by Swami Ashokanand of Ramkrishan Mission is available to read.I will quote exact chapter and verse by refereing the book.
Kind request and urge to all brothers and sisters here is to experience the truth !
May he guide all on journey further.

Here, many brothers and sisters are doing precisely that.

But there are also a few bank cashiers here who possess a wealth of knowledge but not a penny of their own and a few librarians who can quote hundreds of statements but not a single original one eminating from experience. You are most welcome to write posts potent with wisdom, fragrant with honesty and humble with experience. There is a dire dearth of it on the forum.

Bura Jo Dekhan Main Chala, Bura Naa Milya Koye
Jo Munn Khoja Apnaa, To Mujhse Bura Naa Koye
Translation :-
I searched for the crooked, met not a single one
When searched myself, “I” found the crooked one

This doha deals with our perception behavior and tendencies. It has been invariably noticed that we tend to find fault with someone else for our situations and circumstances. Our “I”, the ego, always tries to put blame on others. Non-awareness of our own self is the cause of this attitude. Resultantly, we find ourselves being busy in criticizing and condemning others and conveniently term them as crooked or evil.
So Kabir says that instead of finding fault and maligning others, dive deep into your own-self. Amazingly, an honest introspection will reveal that all fault lies with “me” and “my” own perceptions and attitudes. If there is any evil or crookedness, it is in “me”. Correcting this and opting for a loving and compassionate attitude will change one’s perceptions and the world will appear wonderful all over again.

Of course Shakti-pat is indeed valid, but you have to be careful. If you slavishly follow your master for years and years, waiting for them to give you shaktipat, and you realise that they can’t or won’t give you shaktipat, then you have wasted a lot of precious time. So let me offer you an alternative mid-way. Yes, find a guru and make sure they are authentic, but rather than slavishly waiting for them one day to give you their grace, continue your sadhana and don’t expect shaktipat, then who knows one day the guru might give you their grace.

Beware of gurus who tell you not to do any sadhana, but simply to worship them and one day they will sort you out. Such a guru is not worth the wait.

Surya,

The law in Yog Shastra(Science) is to wait for one year for experience from the day of initiation by Master. If your Sadhana or practice does not reveal any experience or realization then for sure the Master is not adpet Guru.
One has to use conscience and intellect till you realize/experience.
I always remember how Swami Vivekanand ( Narendra) used to secretly follow Lord Ramkrishan to make sure he is not one of them.
Mother energy is omnipresent and omniscient, though we are unconsciousness and limited by intellect. She is always awake and waiting for you to pick you up and hold in her arms like a child.
Unlike in material world she does not keep you huungry and starved. The day you have true urge and thirst of liberation she will bless you and manifest out of nothing to help you.
What is needed is true urge !!
If you get chance please read “Gospel of Swami Loknath Thirth”. See how he got initiated and how he blessed Gulavani Maharaj.
Also, read about Swami Vishuthirth Maharaj and Shivomthirth Maharaj. There are many stalwards we can name and bless from.

Pardon me for putting it this way, but my experience is that any external help either advice or blessings even from the masters would not make it happen. Self-realization is a hard and lonely walk in a challenging environment that brings more failures than laurels and ends in a total metamorphosis. I am sure, the true masters won’t think otherwise, leave aside doing.

In fact closer one goes to ‘enlightenment’ lesser is an effect of and need for any external teacher. Ishvara the inner guru takes over because in the intense inner domain there is no room for anything else. It is realized only then that many ‘experiences’ in the initial journey were still mind’s trickery. The final unlearning involves getting rid of even spiritual concepts and images.

SD’s advice of using different proven methods but not getting locked into it was very appropriate.

dear jayant,
swami Vivekananda experienced a state of samadhi when param hans swami ramakrishna kept his hand on his head, there on he walked his own way…
sat guru (which are capable of shaki pat are very rare to find, mind you) may only guide you and may pass on his energy once in while to mumukshus only. One has to dig his own well though.
i have walked this path literally alone, living all by myself for last 15 years , and still feel the pangs of ego. very very difficult path this, but then there are no shortcuts, not even saktipat. even the the first two steps of this eight fold route, yam and niyams, are so very difficult for many of us mortals.
this energy you talk, is not simple to make friends with. it checks you out fully, like Shri Vivekananda did for his guru, as you mentioned.
But then one has to walk the walk.

dear jayant,
you seems to be a genuine seeker. my advice…
sitting along the river of wisdom, some drink the wisdom and there are some who just gargle and spit in forums like this. word smiths. who play with words and try try to reinvent the wheel of wisdom of sage patanjali. beware of them.

PURPOSES OF ONGOING DISCUSSION. YES THE KUNDALINI CAN BE AWAKENED AND CAN TAKE ITS COURSE AND ESTABLISH SAMADHI WHEN IT REACHES THE CROWN CHAKRA. THIS IS LONG AND THIS IS ARDUOUS AND MAY OR MAY NOT OCCUR DURING THE CURRENT LIFETIME. IN THE END, THE ONGOING ACTIVITY OF THE MIND IS FUELED BY THE INTERACTION OR THE BATTLE OF THE OPPOSITES. THIS MAY BE BROUGHT TO QUIESCENCE THROUGH GOENKAS VIPASSANA WHICH LITERALLY TEACHES THE END OF THE BATTLE. these identifications become reduced to quiessence . (THE LILA GOES ON .. HOWEVER THOU ART NOT ROASTED BY IT)

Ancient yogic technique is a very effective way to keep fit and healthy. It's a practice that has been passed down from generation to generation, and it's one of the oldest forms of yoga. The ancient yogic techniques include asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (sense withdrawal), dharana and dhyana (meditation).

Asanas are the most common form of yoga. They are full body weight-bearing postures that help you relax your muscles, increase your flexibility and strengthen your back. Pranayama is breathing exercise which helps in building up your lung capacity so that you can exercise longer without feeling tired. It also helps in improving your heart function and keeping the mind calm during physical activity or meditation.
