I know this sounds strange, but lately I find when I’m practicing I have this intense urge to swallow. It mostly happens when I’m in resting poses like child’s or savasana. I ALWAYS breathe in and out through the nose, so I can’t imagine it’s from the need to wet my palate. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an explanation for it?
Always possible these things are related to the throat chakra. Do you have issues with expression, either speaking all the time for attention or hiding quietly in the back and never speaking up?

Very interesting, thanks. I’m not a meek person, but I’m also not an attention seeker. I do have trouble with articulation (putting thoughts into concise and coherent sentences–not a problem with pronunciation). Does that fit the bill? If this is the issue you’re referring to, how do I fix it?

Hi Jessie,
When I started with autogenous training, I read that it is normal to have a bit more spittle in your mouth than usual when you relax and you have the need to swallow. I experience it almost every time I am in deep relaxation and swallow.
