Shoulder blade pain

Q - I love your work and I have a question. two of my students complain of a burning sensation near lower part of shoulder blade. They think it is caused by the use of their computer mouse. What suggestions do you have for me to help them while in class? Many thanks, V

I need some clarification on the sensation you are describing – is it localized? Is it moving out to out? Is it extend to the spine or belly of the scapula? Any sensation going down the arm? In most cases knowing muscles involved would give more specific recommendation. For now I would just suggest that they do the Joint Freeing Series portion for the shoulders and arms while seated at work. Doing that slowly and in breath rhythm handles most shoulder problems. Especially I would suggest moving through the external and internal shoulder rotations slowly and with the elbows at varying heights to release that area.
