Sights In Kutashta

I am initiated into kriya yoga and practice daily. Recently, while practicing, a pure white orb of light became visible in kutashta. This orb of pure white light remained even after my session. All I had to do was close my eyes and see it. The orb was still with me when I went to sleep at night. My teacher called this “the moon in kutashta”. He will not answer any of my questions about this.

Has anyone experienced this? What is the significance of seeing “the moon in kutashta?”

The day I see entities and talk to imaginary beings is the time I will cease doing kriya yoga! I am already use to the images I see. Thanks for your reply. It is apparent to me seeing the moon in kutashta has no relevance. I will disregard all visuals and keep practicing.

[Xtensity,

" One of the most important things is that you NOT take any hallucinations you see too seriously. Especially when entities start manifesting and having conversations with you - believe me - it will happen sometime in your path."

I don’t take hallucinations seriously. Neither should you!

“Why do yoga if you don’t want those types of things?”

If it happens fine, if it does not fine. This is not my reason for practicing kriya yoga to see entities or converse with imaginary beings. My reasons are for purification, enlightenment, and Satchidananda.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever Xtensity. And all the things that go bump in the night! Take care of yourself! No need to warn me. And no, I am not interested in your ramblings about conversations you had with entities claiming to be angels, or goblins or Santa Claus.

I wish you peace, happiness and all the best!

I smell a troll.

@Lavendar my dear friend. We have known each other for a while now and the same answer keeps presenting itself to both of us and that answer is through our practice the mystery and performance of The Kriya Yoga of Yogiraj Lahiri Mahsaya is revealed to us both.

We both know that discussing matters that are experienced by Kriyavans out side of Kriya Circles is generally discouraged because others do not usually understand.

I like to think that short of attempting to teach, that sharing the experiences I have had may be useful to someone.

Even within Kriya circles talk of experiences is not really discussed I guess because they are afraid of being branded an experience seeker. Silly really. If someone is prone to seeking experiences they will anyway and being closed mouthed just leads to internal pressures that will demand release.

I think also that some other reasons might even be simpler people may get discouraged if someone says oh I have Seen Gurudev or Jesus or I have entered into the Ajna center and another has not and this may make the listener draw wrong conclusions like they are lacking in some degree or maybe the practice is not for them.

Even worse they may begin really trying hard to get these road signs along the way to force seeing them and this itself will prevent the true signs from appearing due to fixation on a road sign that in and of itself can be recognized in it’s real value only by those who have already had the experiences come to them in the correct time which is determined by outside agencies and spiritual law not the seeker.

Then others still will believe that they are somehow a few notches up on the spiritual totem pole and assume false airs.

So there are lots of reasons to not share.

For those of us called to be Kriyavans the only thing needed is our daily sincere practice of Kriya Yoga our heartfelt love and devotion to God and Guru the rest happens just as surely as rubbing sandpaper on wood makes wood smooth and creates saw dust.

Lavendar You have been doing allot of sanding so looking at your work what is your answer to your own question?

Thank you Seeking! Your sound advice is most welcomed! My question no longer remains a question.

I did learn a valuable lesson from doing what I did. (sharing this vision) and that is to NEVER SHARE these EXPERIENCES, especially NOT ON A FORUM. (Yikes!) I am done posting here.
You are a true and dear friend! I appreciate and respect you!

Seeing a orb of white light in the Kutushta is a common experience experienced by yogis. I met a yogi who told me a systematic way of seeing the light and then merging the light into the pranava sound. He has been meditating for years and this is how he spends most of his daily life, so I had no reason to doubt his experiences.

It is improper to use the word “hallucination” to describe somebodies experiences in meditation, for that is implying their experience is false. These experiences are important milestones on ones meditation journey and have a lot of personal significance for the person talking about their experiences. Hence one should talk respectfully about somebody else’s experiences, or you will discourage them from sharing anything more with you again.

Thank you! I am not going to quit my sadhna nor do I consider myself a quitter. I am in it for the long haul (so to speak)It has been made very clear to me that experiences of this nature should not be disclosed publicly. If you wish to share you may do so by sending me a private message.
We can share this way if you wish.

There is a big problem of course when we do not share our experiences and invite the scrutiny of others. What if we are hallucinating, and if we accept our hallucinations as valid, we will make ourselves delusional. This is why it is said a Guru is necessary on the path, because the mind can play all kinds of tricks on the practitioner, and as this is all very new to the practitioner it is easy for them to be tricked. Having a guru whose at an advanced stage and already been through those experiences as a guide can then be very helpful. In absence of that, the challenges from others can help us scrutanize our experiences and use our own discernment to see if our experience can stand their challenges.

Patanjali does indeed recommend the best solution to the effects the mind will produce on the journey: detached witnessing. The mental special effects can be highly fascinating, and the powers and abilities that come can be alluring, but never forget the ultimate objective of sadhana is liberation. Keep going until you reach liberation and do not settle for any intermediate attainment.

Thank you Surya Deva! You have summed it up well. Liberation is the goal.
