For the first time in my life i am having trouble getting to sleep. I am a 31 year old male usually in good health although i have just got over a stomach bug.
My life has just got a little busier and things that would not usually worry me or stay in and run over my mind are.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I’m writing this 1.30 am after giving up trying to get to sleep.
When practiced holistically YOGA is usually effective at bringing oneself to an observance of the natural thought process of the mind without becoming entangled/disturbed/distracted/entrapped/embroiled, etc. which leads to a peaceful conducive state of mind. Besides guidance from Patanjali’s 8 limbs of yoga you may want to check out some hatha-ayurveda yogic techniques specific for this issue.
What works with me: Lemon balm or lime blossom tea + lying in bed meditation.
