Snap, Crackle, Pop

Almost every time I change possitions during a yoga session, a part of my body tends to "crack" or "pop. It isn't painful at all really, actually it tends to be a nice "release of energy". Anyway, my question being, if this is normal, or expected for someone who lacks normal exercise or, extensive and prolong motion of their body. If this is normal, I would assume that the popping will cease over time? Any comments or insight on this would be much appriciated:)
