My son aged 10 had an achillees tendon lengthening surgery because he was toe-walking. Can you recommend some yoga poses for him to strenghten his legs which are quite weak?
Fams
If he is particularly stiff or recovering from recent surgery then i would start with the Joint Freeing Series. When he is more mobile he can do both warrior poses as these would probably be the best since they are both closed and open hip posutres working the major directions of the hips – rotation, flexion and extension. all basic standing poses would be good to do. See my book Structural Yoga Therapy for detailed recommendations on how to do these poses. namaste mukunda
