Spiritual Quest

I will shortly be arriving in India.

I am on a journey.

Of self discovery and development.

I have a lot of work to do.

I have already delved into the spiritual side of things.

However Yoga is totally new to me. I understand there are many forms and teachers.

I would like to be pointed in the right direction.

I want to become physically and mentally stronger and discover an inner and outer peace of mind, body and soul. Basically after my journey I want to be a new me. The real ME. Physically stronger, athstetically different, at one with myself and the world around me.

I am prepared for alot of work and dedication.

Where should I start?

Is there a specific form of Yoga I should be studying?

Where in India can I find a serious teacher?

Should I just let my heart be my guide?

Any useful reading? (books for travelling)

Thank you for any advice

Peace and Love…

Dear Sir
During the last 25 years every person who approched me for learning Yoga asked me questions that you have written
it is very difficult to answer as well as extremely easy to answer your questions
difficult at intellectual level as Yoga is a discovery beyond intellect and reason, beyond definition and arguments
it is very easy as the very life is asking these questions for which yoga has experiential answers i.e. Live, move and act in Love, Energy, Awareenss and Peace(LEAP) at all time in life.
Are you moving in LEAP at all time.
The Answer if No, then what prevents you to do it
the methods, process and tools that help, guide and inspire you to discover “The REAL YOU” is Yoga

discover within …Love, Energy, Awareenss and Peace(LEAP) …Your essential nature…Yoga

that is the beginning only

kindly respond so that i will begin answering your questions one by one [/b]

Indeed I have allready taken the Leap.

And now I am looking for a place to land!

Ghandi, where are you from?

Hadma, I am from London, Ibiza, the World!!!

If some one has useful information on a specific type of Yoga teaching please get in touch.

I am also very interested in Ayurveda courses in India wich focus on colour light therapy.

PS. Does anyone actualy visit this site!!!?

I asked you where are you from, because if you was, let’s say, from Khatzahstan I wouldn’t be able to advise you. But, since you’re from London it means you’re able to visit ashram of “Yoga In Daily Life”, which I’d like to recommend. As the matter of fact, the founder of international society YIDL will come to London in september and will have yoga seminar there. With all my heart I can advise you to be there and see him. Untill then you can visit www . yogaindailylife. org, and get all the information. Shortly, Yoga In Daily Life is one of most respected yoga systems in the world (actually, the only systematic course), and it’s founder Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranand Puri-ji is one of rare truly Self-Realized masters of the contemporary world. He comes from Rajasthan, India, from one of genuine and ancient master-disciple lineages. YIDL has ashrams and centers all around the world, and Swamiji constantly travels around the world and visits all the centers. At this moment Swamiji leads two-weeks yoga seminar in Hungary, and there are people literally from all around the world. More about him, and system Yoga In Daily Life can be found on website. Also it’s possible to download a lot of mp3. excerpts from his lectures in the section “Guruvakya”. If you’re interesated in yoga for spiritual reasons, not only beacuse of “fashion”, then I think it would be good if you can see and hear Swamiji, and also pracitce yoga according to his leading. I wish you all the best. Hope you’ll find what you’re looking for.

thanks

but as i have said i am arriving in india soon for 6 months.

will not be able to make london.

i am not interested in yoga as fashion. infact i would prefer no one knew i was on a journey of self discovery through this form of teaching. i am looking for a way to enhance my spiritual being as well as enhancing my physical well being and appearance…

thanks for the interest.

Well, if it’s on your journey schedule to visit Rajasthan then you can visit Swamiji’s main ashram in village Jadan, near town Pali, near city Jodhpur. Swamiji and lots of his disciples will be there during most of the july and in beginning of august.

Then I can only again recommend Yoga In Daily Life. I managed to obtain the same goals through YIDL. It’s not my “missionary” duty to catch new members, I’m just talking from my personal experience. I don’t know about other gurus and ashrams so I cannot recommend any other than the one I’m famiiar with. But I can say that this one gave me eveything I needed. Hope you’d also find your answers. It’s your choice anyway. Good luck in India, and watch yourself. India isn’t all spiritual.
