Spiritual Retreat for Himalayan Yogis and Miracles

With so many members out here, i would like to know if someone can point out details for spiritual retreat for himalayan yogis. There are already 1000’s of yoga coaching classes which have opened up in every nook and corner, but i am more interested to see himalayan mystics/yogis who can do miracles.

I know that there exist such himalayan yogis who have the ability to do things which are beyond explanation of science and i want to see them and learn from them. I am not interested in normal meditation and yoga as they are very much redundant.

I was fascinated by reading an article by a Canadian couple on himalayan yogi miracles which left me puzzled about the possibilities.

I already have got some broad inputs to get going for the location but i want to get as much details before i start my trip to Himalayas. I already have started a thread for getting companions in my trip at the link below

There are some big ashrams in Himalayan range however the problem with such big ashrams is that you cannot directly interact with the main master/yogi unless you are some special personality. However, the himalayan mystics who live in isolation can talk face to face once you trace them. If you have inputs, please PM (private message) me or post here.

I plan to start the himalayan retreat as soon as possible because the last 2 months in North India are very bad owing to chilling cold, snowfall, road blocks etc.

Great topic! I just got back from a spiritual retreat nestled in the Himalayas, and wow—it felt like living inside a dream. Each morning began with misty mountain meditations, where ancient mantras echoed around dew-kissed pines, and by evening the whole group would share stories by firelight that felt sacred but completely real. I caught myself thinking, “ This should be on discovery plus !” because the landscapes and soulful energy were that cinematic. The retreat was about as unplugged as it gets, yet somehow crystal clear inside—heart, breath, presence. Honestly, it was one of those rare experiences where you return home deeply changed, like your soul took a silent pilgrimage.

It’s true that finding authentic yogis living in the Himalayas can be quite rare, but you can definitely begin your journey step by step. A great place to start is Rishikesh, often called the Yoga Capital of the World. There are several ashrams where you can meet genuine practitioners and teachers deeply rooted in yogic traditions.

For example, Sivananda Yoga Ashram and Parmarth Niketan Ashram are wonderful places to connect with experienced yogis. From there, it’s possible to build relationships and eventually be guided toward those living the yogic life in the Himalayas.

If you’re considering a retreat, I’d also recommend Rishikesh Yogpeeth Yoga Ashram. Nestled in the mountains, it offers an atmosphere very similar to the Himalayan range. Many of the teachers there are not just instructors but real practitioners who share from their own life experiences. Practicing in such an environment can be both transformative and deeply inspiring. Sharing the link if you want to check out the place https://www.rishikeshyogpeeth.com/
