Hi. Today I meditated while listen my own recorded subliminal messages. While meditated I felt pretty calm, but after that I become little bit anxious and angry. I feel that in chest is “something” that I need to cry out. Worst of all I see bad images like raping and killing My girlfriend, I feel bad for this kind of thoughts and images. Any ideas?
it all needs to come out eventually so its good to keep working through it. Its all part of the process.

Affirmations in subliminal messages are: My relationship with girlfriend are perfect. I trust in her and she trusts in me, i love her she loves me, i relaxed all the time, i feel calm, i believe in myself, i am confident and so on.

Domas - It seems like using this self-messaging technique is an attempt to retrain your brain to think certain things - such as that your relationship is perfect, and you are calm and confident and relaxed. If your relationship is currently not perfect, and you are lacking any faith in yourself, then it might be causing some mental friction. As a possible suggestion: it might be beneficial to change your meditative focus to something which simply tries to clear your mind, instead of trying to influence it. If you have a calm and clear mind, you will more clearly see the truth of your relationship and make better decisions within it, and you will see yourself without the judgement that comes so easily with a cluttered mind.
I always find that mantra chanting is a great way to clear my mind before I sit down and work towards meditation. After chanting I choose only one thing to focus on, such as one simple idea or issue or object. With less to concentrate on, I have the freedom to give it more attention.

When I was in theater in high school, they made us practice enunciation and projection by reciting, “I AM A POMPOUS ASS”, over and over, until we could clearly be heard in every crevice of the auditorium. It really helped me keep some humility

I never sit calmly and concentrate on 'nothing;. As one of my teachers once told me, ‘The mind is like a little puppy, jumping all around. You can’t just tell it to sit and expect it will listen’. Why don’t you try something like bhramari breath while seated before meditation (http://www.vajrasatiyoga.co.uk/Bhramari - a general link - usually i cover my eyes and ears for it to increase the vibrations in the face). After doing that 20 times, then meditate by focusing on something. You could put a picture of your girlfriend there and focus on loving and trusting feelings for her, for instance. Just focus on her face and maintain a positive mindset. You could try some meditative techniques such as sending your positive feelings to her with every exhale.
If you want to listen to the affirmations before sleep, it may or may not be beneficial - who can say? But if it my current technique was giving me visions of rape and slaughter, there would be NO way I would listen to it as I fell asleep.

If you want a better relationship, to be more calm, to be more friendliness, to be happier, to have more self confidence, to think positively, and make more money… then passively listening to cds is not the most beneficial thing you can do. It is more beneficial to do practices which calm your mind and help you think more clearly, so that your decisions will always be oriented in your best interest over-all.
