Strengthening the sartorius

Please comment on the the sartorius muscle. I’m finding several clients with weak sartorius on one side when specifically muscle tested. Would it be best to work with squats to strengthen the quads?

Thanks

Many of the muscle tests can also be used as strengthening exercises. I’d recommend focusing directly on strength to the sartorius. Move into all ROM possible for that muscle to optimally strengthen. The strengthening here is to sit upright (hip flexion) but be in position for the MT, knee out to the side (external rotation, abduction, knee flexed)with foot in toward knee of opposite leg, which is straight. From this position try to lift the foot higher than the knee. For weakness do dynamic reps. Once stronger hold a count with breaths. IE 6 breaths
