Stress/Relaxation

Hello, I am looking for a book that can help me with stress and relaxation. Does anyone have any ideas?..Many thanks …Luke …PS …I am a total beginner!! :-?

Yoga is a wonderful venue for discovering how to be aware of and make choices about these things.

My recommendations both come from mind/body/stress reduction programs.

Hi Luke,
Relax and Renew by Judith Lasater is a great book full of restful and relaxing restorative yoga postures. It is easy to follow and there are a number of different sequences for different conditions. Enjoy.

I would recomend you read Yoga Nidra by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. This is a form of meditation based on nyasa(the placing of mantras in specific parts of the body in sequence) simplified for the english speaking personage. It has been a wonderful technique for me to personally reduce my stress and begin the voyage within.
