I have a really difficult time doing this asana and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I typically use a strap to get my leg closer to my body, but I always get a burning sensation in my leg. This does not occur in any other asana. Also, a strange thing is that the burning sensation used to only happen in my left leg and now it occurs in both legs.
You would have to be more revealing with the way(s) in which you are doing the pose in order to get pertinent feedback about the execution.
The pose is, of course, a hamstring opener and it would be expected that you would have some “discomfort” in the hamstrings if you were doing the pose with appropriate effort. But again, I haven’t the slightest idea if your legs are burning non-stop, periodically, in the quads, hamstrings, etcetera.
