Surya Mudra

I have always had some pimples (also known as heat boils) on my back, means I cud say pitta dosha. If I understand it correctly.

Now I wanted to practice Surya Mudra to cut down the obesity, to reduce my gastric problems and improvise my heart condition.

Now I am confused that whether I shud practice surya mudra or not, because it generates a lot of heat ?

How much time is considered appropriate for this mudra ?

If not, any other mudra which cud address these concerns ?

Please help.

The mudra does not generate a lot of heat, per se. But more or less, its a reminder that you’re supposed to be visulaizing the heat if that makes sense. A mudra is a transient object to keep your focus upon the desired action or specific attentativeness, etc.

The best advice I have found through ayurveda on gastric issues is to eat portions no larger than your own fist in one sitting. This way, there’s room in the stomach for digestive enzymes. When you have too much food, the gastric enzymes escape and get into the esophogus and wreak havoc.

If you want to lose weight, its all about the calorie intake/calorie burn.
