If you need to ask anything about a school is Rishikesh, visit Book Yoga Trip and contact me.
Well for Tattva yoga shala, I would suggest you select the school if your choice of school is based upon:
1) Location: Swarg Ashram. Right in the heart of the jonk village. Not exactly in very open surroundings, but a lot of Yoga schools nearby such as Akshi Yogashala, Rishikesh Yog Peeth etc. etc. So you may find a lot of folks staying around and doing yoga from different schools, giving you a good chance to bond with fellow yogis.
2) Class size: Medium to large. They have been operating for quite some time now and they have been doing well. That means the students who learn from there are usually satisfied with the experience. If you prefer to attend yoga in a medium to large class size, by all means, go for it.
3) Price: Affordable yet slightly on the higher side as compared to other yoga schools in Rishikesh. If saving money is not the top of your concern, go for it.
4) Professionalism: Since the Tattva folks have been around for a while now, they have perfected their teaching methodology and schedule. So you may find the routine pretty well established and little experimenting with the well established routines. Which in a way is good.
As for reviews I would suggest you not to believe in them. Why? Because I have never seen a single person writing bad or reviews with constructive criticism.
Whereas when I talk to students in Cafes' or anywhere I get a chance to interact, I get to hear a lot of things that the students believe the school should improve. And that is not at all bad because everything in this world has a room for improvement.
In Indian yogic culture, gurus or teachers are synonymous to God and I don't think one is going to write bad reviews about god...
But when I ask people whether they will come back to the school or Rishikesh. Almost everyone shouts unanimously
