That darn ego

For me definitely one of the toughest roadblocks to get passed. I try to leave it behind in everyday life but our society is just so revolved around the ego and it is so ingrained in us to compare ourselves to the next person. Even in the studio during asana I catch myself occasionally looking around and comparing my ability to others. I realize I’m doing it and stop myself, but it just seems to creep into my head.

Just venting. Namaste.

A human apparatus cannot exist without an ego you?d be completely psychotic without it, simply realize its purpose recognize when it?s operating let it serve you don?t serve it.

It is not a thing to be renounced. It is a thing to be transformed. You cannot push it away.

The Ego energy has to be moved into the heart center so it can fuel your life’s purpose or svadharma. In my view it requires a skill set and action to do this and it’s not at all easy - but it is of course necessary for a mindful evolution to the next stage.

It means you are less focused on your own practice. Focus and love your practice. Once you get involved with self , comparison will vanish on its own.

It’s a process that you must incorporate into every part of your life if you are to overcome the ego.
