Wisdom is like a baobab tree,

Beautifully true Pandara! It indeed is beyond the sense of being an individual.
Thanks for sharing.
Love,

No, noone can embrace it alone … but one can walk around and have a sequential but more complete vision of that great baobab
One attitude resigns in it’s inability, the another one, while realizes the inability, it still uses the limited tool to arrive to greater understanding. The first is good as it builds humility, and the necessary awe and openness, the second is good because it provides field to the activity of will.
The fact that we have different perspectives and carry different paths, is a gift. This way, we can share, and taking each other’s hands we are able to make a full circle around the baobab tree. And we might even begin to walk slowly around the tree, and aren’t we dancing in joy, having new and new realizations, following each other’ steps ?
One can also invite others to join together and collectively hug the baobab.
Good metaphor for the forums, eh?
(We take turns being the monkey up in the branches laughing at the people below.)
Yup. I once saw a movie about initiation - the ego was indeed represented by a hysterical monkey.
Since than, I have learnt to know my monkey, yet it still manages to surprize me a lot.
In the African sense we speak of ubuntu, which translates to the communual spirit of coming together to achieve something. For me this is the wisdom behind this African proverb, that through the community, such as this forum, your own community, your yoga community etc, we can eventually take hands and embrace the wisdom that is there and that is shared by so many members on this forum.
Reflecting what Hubert said in an African way.
The best wealth is that which can only be kept by giving away…
