The Garden of Eden story is one of the most misunderstood stories in the Bible. It’s actually very Kundalini Yoga, and I mention it in my graphic novel. Check it out when you get a chance.

The rundown of my interpretation:
The Forces of Light-
God- the Supreme Consciousness, Ever-New Bliss
Adam and Eve- the masculine and feminine attributes of the soul
The Serpent- the evolutionary energy coiled up in man. This energy gives us the power to achieve illumination. Illumination grants us the wisdom to differentiate between good and evil, Spirit and matter, light and shadow.
The Evil Ones-
The gods of Eden- personifications of our lower nature/ego. It is the part of us that doesn?t want illumination because it is addicted to worldly gratification.
Other Symbols-
The Tree of Life- the body in its energy form
The Garden of Eden- worldly lures
So in my understanding, the lesson of the Adam and Eve story is to go to the Tree of Life within to find Eternal Joy instead of wandering around aimlessly in a world of temporary lures.
