On occasion, I eat at a certain trendy restaurant and usually get a mild stomach ache. The food is amazing but the chef, to be gentle about it, is a really negative person.
I’ve read about spiritual people only eating food prepared by special people but haven’t given much thought to avoiding food prepared by negative people until now.
Just to be clear, I’m not talking about a “Typhoid Mary” or a “board of health” issue.
Has anyone experienced a “sick feeling” after eating food prepared by a “bad” person?
This is not precisely what you are talking about, but I do associate certain people with certain kinds of foods. There is a couple, let’s call them Mr. and Mrs. K, to whose house I used to go for a few years. Their food was always spicy, strong tasting, acidic, rajasic. They too were very energetic, agitated, tense, very talkative. I felt that not just being with them, but taking in their food also brought that energy into me.
I wouldn’t however be very confident about associating a ‘stomach ache’, even if mild, with the mental state of the cook. Perhaps you would like to describe the sensations in more detail, but an ache seems to be too much on the ‘gross’ rather than the ‘subtle’ level. If you felt psychologically tense, stiff, confused, unaware, obscure, and so on I would associate it more with the cook.
In any case, if the cook happens to be a really negative person I would go there only occasionally, like you do.
