The present is where I always want to be

The day has either ended or is in the process of ending ?
So I escape the ending noon into the never-ending arctic day of the present moment
I escape the ending evening into the eternal twilight of the present moment
I escape the ending day to relish in the infinite night of the present moment

And in doing so,
I trade in the drudging noon for the brilliant noon
. the dampening evening for the beguiling evening
. the dreaded day?s end for the awe-ful night
. all of the present moment

Perpetually in waiting, perpetually exhausting, perpetually closing in on me
I escape into the present into a boundless field of possibilities ?
the present moment, where my God eternally resides

In the present moment I am breathless, suspended, can perceive everything, simultaneously?
That area of the Pacific I?ve become enamored with,
The solar wind in my hair and the stars behind the sun?s rays,
The inexorable law of karma and the miracles working in the backend of my awareness

The present moment is where I always want to be ? where I can behold all, simultaneously?
all the good memories of the past,
all my hopes for the future,
and all of my loves as I commune with them in the shared space of the present moment

Cool. I like it.

Hello,
Really Its great… Amazing post. Thanks for the share…

No issues with those who are happy with an idea of a multi-tasking mind present in the “present” as well as holding on to the past good memories and yearning for a similar future.

The center of gravity of the beautiful quote is somewhere else. Being really in the present moment perpetually one has to be in the “presence” all the time, “where my God eternally resides”. Then what is experienced is pure “goodness” of the past moments and no grief that they are past. Same way hope for the future ends in realization that future is present in the present as a potential and nothing more.
