The truth?

The truth may be out there, but the lies are in your head.

If I may tweak it a bit:

The truth may be in there, but the lies are crowding your head.

I think that’s a great tweak toward the Yogic perspective of the challenges we encounter in our third kosha. Thank you for reflecting on the quote and adding a new dimension to it.

How about this: the truth may be out there, but also lies in your head.

yes, this too! thank you, FP

in addition to my head, i also experience truth and incomplete-truth in my physical heart, my abdomen and the floor of my pelvis. i often feel it here, before my mind can tally the information and “facts.” i can feel it here, and know it to be truth or not-truth, even if the whole story is not yet in, even if others are withhold or refusing.

early in my therapy practice, i had a dedicated and wonderful client who experienced this same phenomena in her throat; it caused her physical and emotional pain when she was not speaking the truth, and did not speak-up to non-truths around her. when she was sharing in truth, she felt a great freedom and easiness to speak. she also had deep insights when she was sharing in truth with others, or in her writings. this was a great teaching lesson for me.

do others experience truth and not-truth in their bodies as well?

Sure, before a compromised-truth is said the system stalls for a fraction of a second. The words come out delayed, disfigured and dry. Eyes hesitate to engage with the listener. Body shuffles a wee-bit more than usual. Always experienced it but the dots are connected now. Thanks Nichole.

In fact, similar effects are experienced when I knowingly hurt someone or succumb to praise or give unsolicited concessions to the near & dear ones. Interestingly all these acts are against yamas, and create bodily effects before projecting behavior outwards. Interesting thought!

this is very interesting Nichole Suhas and Flexpenguin…

I will take note of this and see what I experience and contribute my findings later xxx
Also it makes me realise how much more I need to be aware of the details …thanks

I don’t understand where truth starts and lies end, or lies end and truth begins, everything is mixed up, is it true to hurt someone with truth, would a lie have more integrity if it avoided pain? I have a poem I can’t stop myself posting like a compulsion or a lie that I hear myself saying, but keep saying it anyway.
WANTING TO LIE WITH TRUTH.
Seduced,
Cunning truth lies with me.
Strong,
Driven,
Kneeling astride my hips,
Lightly holding my wrists,
Offered willingly to him.
Kisses my neck,
Breathes warmth into my ear,
"Now I have you,
There’s no escape,
Feel the inspiration in you."
Truth expertly guides the rhythm.
Deceiving truth,
I surrender,
I love you,
Exquisitely hurt me now.

Isn’t it amazing how the simply statements are so profound and really make us think?

What about this: “Those who believe, create” . That means that People who believe in something or have faith in something, they are able to create or to make reality what they believe

woow amazing.

Truth is Subjective
