I travel with my job. Much of this travel takes me to China. By chance this week one of the factory owners I deal with offered to take me to his local Yoga studio in Nanjing China.
Of course I accepted. The studio is owned and operated by a young Indian guy named Kumar.
We talked a bit before the class.A very nice young man. His wife is a very pretty and friendly Chinese girl.
After a great hour of Hatha Yoga we sat around and chatted. Seems Kumar’s wife is a singer of sorts and has toured the US. She has been to places like Missoula, Montana, and Pocatello,Idaho.
Then Kumar and I decided to do some poses together and pictures were taken. My favorite was one of the two of us doing a headstand together.
I think the thing that impressed me the most about this experience was how several people of quite different backgrounds had a convergence and the common factor was Yoga.
I realize this is not a question or anything like that but the whole thing just touched me in a very special way and so I felt like I had to express it.
Namaste.
Thank You for Sharing.
I did not have a similar experience but I will say that I was amazed to find Yoga in Beijing several years ago as well. But I did not practice there, I was just amazed and somewhat happy to see it there
