Toe Spacers vs. Yogatoes

I have just actually stumbled onto reading about each of these, however it is interesting to me so I wondered if anyone could provide a little assistance.

I have Parkinson’s disease but also dystonia which cramps my feet (and toes together) more and more as my medication wears off or I use up my energy. I thought that the toe spacers sounded like a good idea and then I found a post online of someone speaking about yogatoes. If anyone can shed some light on either or both of these, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
Robbie

Toe spacers describe a broad range of product applications that separate the toes be it for painting comfort or therapy.
Typically these products and knockoffs come up from under the foot leaving the top free.
Hit toe spacers than images and you will see a broad range of products most of which are pretty easy to make for yourself with a razor knife and some foam or just putting some balls of cotton.

Yogatoes not to be confused with the sock and shoe lines with separate toe spaces. Describe another product that fits over the whole toe and is slid into.
Again consider hitting images instead of web searches to separate the wheat from the chaff especially if you are more of a visual learner. These may stay on easier when napping or sleeping.

Another yoga therapy technique is to overlap your big toes and pull laterally when in staff pose or seated stick pose boat pose or during core ab workouts.

You may also find that a thick elastic band or wrapping soft wool or some such around the big toes and pulled in opposition helps alleviate some issues like hammer toes.

I always like to finish with rolling the arch on a bottle can or rolling pin dowel to massage the whole bottom of the feet and help alleviate cramping bringing life and rich oxygenated blood to those little piggies.

Good luck

Hi rtucker.

YogaToes are made of medical grade gel and are a patented product, officially known as “toe stretchers”. They have both a top and bottom rail. Although we just released a lite version of YogaToes called Gems that don’t have a top rail and are thus a little more flexible.

There are indeed a lot of knock-offs, and they are directly copying what we created. It took many years to design and patent YogaToes.

We do offer promotional coupon codes at blog.yogapro.com. There is also a 30 day money back guarantee on YogaToes.

Hope this helps!

Hi Robbie,

As with most, if not all things, the differentiation depends on your intended purpose.
For example, there is a profound effect from a student of yoga finding that spread of their toes from the inside out. This teaches the body, allows for replication, develops patterns and, when the mind is placed in the doing, creates neural pathways.

However you have eluded to a specific need - even though you’ve not fleshed that out for us here fully. We have a set of the Yoga Toes and I use them periodically and enjoy their use. From my experience in my own living they can be used for extended periods of time, DO create separation, and may have benefit for the feet and body.

The other product you mention I have not tried.
