Hi! Im new to the forum… Found it on google tonight while looking up foot pain associated with virasana. I have been attending classes for about a year and practise at home. Today in class we sat in virasana for an extended time and I did not take adequate support. Instead of stopping and adding support I kept going. The tops of my feet are still sore, a boney spot right in the middle. Any tips to relieve the pain? Next time I will try not to let ego get in the way…
Thanks in advance
A well-learned lesson. Lucky you to have had it early and not late.
Tough to give relief feedback without a proper assessment. If it’s muscular there is one set of things, if it’s a bone bruise, others. Generally speaking the healing process is fostered by a calm mind, immaculate nutrition, rest, and very gentle pranayama.
Thank you for the reply, it certainly was a lesson learnt. It feels like a bone bruise, and the top of the bone feels like pins and needles in a concentrated area. I am going to class Friday, so can check in with my teacher then.
