Can you tell me the significance of the number 108? I have not heard why it is sacred.
I know that this number is sacred to the Tantriks who hold all the variations on number 9 to be holy. Why I don?t know. I recommend checking with Trisha at Yoga Research and Education Center.

The sacredness of the number has to do with ancient astronomers and the distances between the sun and earth and the moon and earth. It is quite interesting.
