Christians are supposed to send the message of salvation, but not by force.
The problems appear when a religion becomes organized, official, and it meddles into politics. You are right, terrible things have been done in the name of the Christ, but they surely are punished, as God does not tolerate injustice.
Jesus said a lot of upsetting things, but those are upsetting only to a man of the world. I like the radical approach He often had. The truth is not negociable. But He also had compassion, and tought love.
What you say about the recordings of Jesus’ life, is probably true. People usually write things down because of the fear of forgetting important things. When things get written down, they must be mentalized.
Still, the Bible and the New Testament (Covenant) are in a surprisingly good shape, although they are prone to being misinterpreted, as anything written down. I must admit that by studying yoga, my understanding of the Bible was tremendously enhanced.
I often get sad as I witness Jesus’ teachings being misinterpreted, or misused, and especially by those who are supposed to be His messengers. They so often get lost or rigidly attached to His words written down, and often they overlook the real message, because they take them out of their context.

I also get sad when I see adherents of various religions debating things what are not for the mind to settle, but for the heart. I am not saying mental comprehension is useless, but these debates are mostly too superficial.

My dream is that the real message of Jesus will be heard by more and more people in the West, and finally, from a mystery religion, based on ritualistic worship, christianity will be revitalized by a deeper personal understanding and acceptance, where personal freedom of thinking and feeling is not endorsed by dogma, where people will realize that as Jesus tought, we are all brothers, as God is our father, where people will discover their spiritual kinship and realize that even if we are not equal to Jesus or God, Jesus is the one through whom God made himself equal to us, and thus, we must respect the other person as Jesus or God Himself. If we strive to do that, no religion or dogma can separate us, no border, nationality, wealth or gender will be in our way.

PS: thank you Rashmi for your consistent efforts to present us your spiritual teachers, their and your toughts, they are quite valuable and inspiring. I always enjoy reading them.

Why do Christians feel there is a need to spread the message of Christ ?

Well, I can’t answer that as I am not a “very good christian”, but I will look into that. I guess it is based on the Apocalypse of John. Christianity supposed to be catholic - universal.
I personally believe that The Christ event is of historical event of the highest magnitude, regarding humanity’s spiritual development - if understood correctly. Sadly, christianism in it’s organized, official form, lost that knowledge, it became exoteric, and because it lost the living spirit, it clings to it’s outer expressions. I do not expect anyone to believe things one is not capable of. But I can make them understand what I believe in, and this faith is not based on dogma, but on personal searching, and living.
This is mainly based on Rudolf Steiner’s work, who I really think was a prophet, or a man with direct knowledge of the highest spiritual realities. He’s guide to meditation is as good as any I wrote by eastern swamis’, gurus’, perhaps even more suited to westerners.

I am quite aware of how exclusivist it sounds, and that is not good. I have been walking in your shoes … I have been a convinced atheist a decade and a half ago.
But that aversion is only based on your previous experience with christians what might not be that good, I admit, and, on your natural longing for the freedom of personal experience, what seems to be denied in the case of blind acceptance of dogma.
Please, do not make the mistake to identify me, with your previous knowledge on christianity … as I am sure, if I told my priest, what I believe in, I’d be excommunicated. :slight_smile:
So if this helps … I am not a christian, as I am a heretic. I am not a hindu, or buddhist either, allthough I find nourishment in these teachings too, just as I find spiritual nourishment in the Bible.

But let us not hijack this respectable thread.

In this thread i have systematically tried to explain what is yoga, what was its source of origin, what is the truth regarding eastern teachings. I have taken the real life examples of great sidhha yogis who have taken birth in india, with in last 600 years. and tried to put here there teachings on this blog who have left valuable treasure for all of us.

Today we are in the grip of logic reasoning, perception, whether we believe in god or we do not believe in god, we are religious and hate others who do not follow our religion. Without understanding what exactly is the reality.Here someone can say that reality changes as per circumstances. As per vedas time never changes, world changes not the prakrati, God.

After long practise of yoga slowly this clout of maya reduces and slowly-2 you experience some changes which you all must be feeling as a practioner of yoga. This divine yoga and knowledge of veda (complete) will enable you to get liberated from human miseries of birth death.Further yajna, great deal propels toward enhancement of soul .

After doing yoga we should seek refuge in Him who has given this in the form of vedas.Why God is referred as He not she. He himself in vedas has said that he should we addressed as he.

It is difficult to control mind which keeps wandering, Great yogis have reached this stage with hard practice of yoga, following vedic view of life . If you have observed in the puports of there life thay all have said God is one. Sai baba of shirdi used to call himself as humble servant of God, the one who has matered his senses, was a brahma gyani, Swami Nityananda ji used to refer himself as this soul, gajanan mahraj all of them. In all the incidents there is a hidden knowledge. Till the time your sattava guna increases and slowly the effect of maya decreases understanding of self , god and prakritti increases.

I will end this with a brief incident from saibaba of shirdi

[B]Balaram Mankar [/B]
There was a house-holder devotee of Baba by name Balaram Mankar. When his wife passed away, he got dejected and entrusting his household to his son, left his home and came to Shirdi and lived with Baba. Being pleased with his devotion, Baba wanted to give a good turn to his life and He did this in this wise. He gave him Rs. 12/- and asked him to go and live in Macchindragad (District Satara). Mankar was first unwilling to go and stay away from Baba, but Baba convinced him that he was giving the best course for him and asked him to practise mediation thrice a day on the Gad. Believing in Baba’s words, Mankar came to the Gad. He was much pleased with the lovely sight, pure water, healthy air and the surroundings of the place, and began to practice assiduously the meditations as recommended by Baba. After some days he got a revelation. Generally Bhaktas get revelation in their Samadhi or trance states, but in Mankar’s case he got it, when he came down to his ordinary consciousness from his trance. Baba appeared to him in person. Not only that Mankar saw Him, but he also asked Him why he was sent there. Baba replied - “In Shirdi many thoughts and ideas began to rise in your mind and I sent you here to rest your unsteady mind. You thought that I was in Shirdi with a body composed of the five elements and three and a half cubits in length, and not outside of it. Now you see and determine for yourself whether the person you see here now is the same you saw at Shirdi. It is for this reason that I sent you here.” Then after the period was over, Mankar left the Gada and proceeded to his native place Bandra. He wanted to travel by rail from Poona to Dadar, but when he went to the booking office to get a ticket, he found it very much crowded. He could not get his ticket soon, when, a villager with a langoti (piece of cloth) on his waist and kambali on his shoulder turned up and said - “Where are your going?” “To Dadar.” replied Mankar. Then he said - “Please take this Dadar ticket of mine; as I have some urgent business here, I have cancelled my Dadar trip.” Mankar was very glad to receive the ticket and was just taking out money from his pocket, when the rustic disappeared in the crowd. Mankar tried to find him out in the crowd, but it was in vain. He waited for him till the train left the station but found no trace of him. This was the second revelation Mankar got in a strange form. Then Mankar after visiting his home, again returned to Shirdi and remained there at Baba’s feet, always following His biddings and advice. In the end, he was very fortunate to leave this world in the presence, and with the blessings of Baba.

Today is the festival of holi, this festival marks the end of winter, beginning of vasant and summer thereafter.This festival is symbolic, as per the recorded history in shastras hiranyakashyap was a king he proclaimed himself to be god and told that he should be worshipped instead of Vishnu (GoD), however his son prahlad was a staunch devotee of vishnu.He refused to worship his father he said you are not God. Here it may be mentioned people who do not follow vedas are called anarya/rakshas. He tried to persuade his son but in vain. This king too had siddhis and boon.He has asked for a boon from siva after he was pleased by his penance that he should not be killed in day /night, neither insidehouse nor outside, neither by weapon nor by any other thing, neither by human nor by animal.after this this king became vain and proud disrespecting rishis, sages compelling them to worship him and not allowed to perform yajnas.
He could not dissuade his son to worship vishnu. Finally he told his sister that he should sit with prahlad on wooden pyre so that prahlad gets killed. His sister has sought a vardaan/boon from a devta(a siddha yogi) that she would never be harmed by fire.however when the fire was lit his sister holika was again overpowerey by vanity/self pride where as prahlad was constantly remebering vishnu. Holika got burned and prahlad came unharmed from fire. This festival since then is celebrated which conveys man should always remember God, overpowering/controlling senses, saty away from pride and vanity.The momeent pride, vanity enters your siddhi/boon disappears. All these things will stay till the time you are pious, religious, god fearing.Finally hiranyakashap was killed by vishnu as prahlad was challenged by his father, to call vishnu and save him. He was killed neither by human nor by animal, neither at night nor day at sandhi kaal, neither by weapon nor by animal . He was killed by nails of Narsingh form of Vishnu, he was human with a head of lion. Same happened with Kansa, Ravana though learned of vedas had siddhis but were gripped by prided vanity.

Dear friends i have always said animals also have souls now some incidents from the life of siddha yogis for your introspection. Read this and corelate with siva, who always have nandi with him, Krishna by whose flute cows used to get divine pleasures alike human being, ganesha with mouse, these yogis and many other. In india in ancient texts it is always mentioned that sages and public used to live in perfect harmony. Sages used to reside in their hemitages in Forests where even ferocious animals used to behave like tamed one giving up ferociousness.

[B][U]Sai baba of shirdi:[/U][/B]
Once, Mrs. Tarkhad was staying in a certain house in Shirdi. At noon, meals were ready and dishes were being served, when a hungry dog turned up there and began to cry, Mrs. Tarkhad got up at once and threw a piece of bread, which the dog gulped with great relish. In the afternoon, when she went to the Masjid and sat at some distance, Sai Baba said to her, “Mother, you have fed Me sumptuously up to my throat, My afflicted pranas (life-forces) have been satisfied. always act like this, and this will stand you in good stead. Sitting in this Masjid I shall never, never speak untruth. Take pity on Me like this. First give bread to the hungry, and then eat yourself. Note this well.” She could not at first understand the meaning of what Baba said. So she replied – “Baba, how could I feed You? I am myself dependent on others and take my food from them on payment.” Then Baba replied – “Eating that lovely bread I am heartily contended and I am still belching. The dog which you saw before meals and to which you gave the piece of bread is, one with Me, so also other creatures (cats, pigs, flies, cows etc.) are one with Me. I am roaming in their forms. He, who sees Me in all these creatures is My beloved. So abandon the sense of duality and distinction, and serve Me, as you did today.” Drinking these nectar-like words, she was moved, her eyes were filled with tears, her throat was choked and her joy knew no bounds.
[B]Moral[/B]
“See God in all beings” is the moral of this chapter. The Upanishads, the Geeta and the Bhagwat, all exhort us to perceive God or Divinity in all the creatures. By the instance given at the end of this Chapter and others too numerous to mention. Sai Baba has practically demonstrated to us how to put the Upanishadic teachings into practice. In this way Sai Baba stands as the best Exponent or Teacher of the Upanishadic doctrines.
[B][COLOR=blue]Hemadpant (Scorpion and Serpent) [/B][/COLOR]
COLOR=darkred At Baba’s recommendation Kakasaheb Dixit was daily reading the two works of Shri Eknath Maharaj, viz., Bhagwat and Bhawartha Ramayana and Hemadpant had the good forturne to be one of the audience when the reading of the works was going on. Once when a portion from the Ramayana relating to Hanuman’s testing Rama’s greatness, according to his mother’s instructions, was being read, all the listeners were spell-bound. Hemadpant was one of them. A big scorpion (none knew where it came from), jumped and sat on the right shoulder of Hemadpant, on his Uparani (upper dhotar). First it was not noticed, but as the Lord protects those, who are intent on hearing His stories, he casually cast a glance over his right shoulder and noticed it. It was dead silence, not a bit moved here or there. It seemed as if, it also enjoyed the reading. Then by the Lord’s grace, Hemadpant without disturbing the audience, took the two ends of his dhotar, folded them, and brought them together, enclosing the scorpion within. Then he went out, and threw it in the garden. (2) On another occasion some persons were sitting in the upper floor of Kakasaheb’s Wada, just before nightfall, when a serpent crept through a hole in the window frame and sat coiled up. A light was brought. Though it was first dazzled, yet it sat still and only moved its head up and down. Then many persons rushed there with sticks and cudgels, but as it sat in an awakward place, no blow could be dealt. But hearing the noises of men, the serpent went out hastily through the same hole. Then all the persons there felt relieved. [/COLOR]
[B][COLOR=blue]Baba’s Opinion [/B][/COLOR]
[COLOR=blue]One devotee named Muktaram, then said that it was good that the poor creature escaped. Hemadpant challenged him saying that serpents should better be killed. There was a hot discussion between them - the former contending that serpents, and such creatures, should not be killed, the latter that they should be. As night came on, the discussion came to an end, without any decision being arrived at. Next day, the question was reffered to Baba, who gave His settled opinion as follows:- "God lives in all beings and creatures, whether they be serpents or scorpions. He is the Great Wirepuller of the world, and all beings, serpents, scorpions etc., obey His command. Unless He will it, nobody can do any harm to others. The world is all dependent on Him, and no one is independent. So we should take pity and love all creatures, leave off adventurous fights and killings and be patient. The Lord (God) is the Protector of all. [/COLOR]

Sai Baba of shirdi
[B]Tiger [/B]
Seven days before Baba passed away, a wonderful incident occured at Shirdi. There came a country-cart and stopped in front of the Masjid. A tiger was on the cart, fastened with iron chains, with its fierce face turned to the rear. It was suffering from some pain or agony. Its keepers - three Derveshis - were taking it from place to place and making money by exhibiting it. It was the means of their subsistence. They tried all sorts of remedies to cure it from the malady it was suffering from, but all was in vain. Then they heard of Baba’s fame and came to Him with the animal. They got it down the chains in their hands and made it stand at the door. It was naturally fierce, besides, disease ridden. So it was restless. The people began to look at it with fear and amazement. The Derveshies went in, told Baba everything about the animal and with His consent, brought it before Him. As it approached the steps, it was taken aback on account of the lustre of Baba and hung its head down. When both saw each other, it got on the step and looked at Baba with affection. Immediately it moved the tuft of its tail and dashed it thrice against the ground and then fell down senseless. On seeing it dead the Derveshis were first much dejected and full of sorrow, but on mature thought they came to their senses. They considered that as the animal was diseased and nearing its end, it was very meritorious on its part that it should meet its death at the feet and in the presence of Baba. It was their debtor, and when the debt was paid off it was free and met its end at Sai’s Feet. When any creatures bow down their heads at saints’ feet and meet death, they are saved; and unless they have got a good store of merit on their account, How could they get such a happy end?

Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri/Kananghad

All forms of life were equally dear to Gurudev. One day, resting in a jungle near Udipi, a big Cobra evidently in great pain appraised Gurudev. He took the reptile lovingly, in his hands and passed his hands over its body. Then he told the snake something and, very obediently the snake crept away into the jungle, with signs of great relief. While excavating the caves at Kanhangad, and also at Ganeshpuri, there were many instances of poisonous snakes understanding and obeying Sadguru’s instructions. He would tell the snakes that they were the cause of fear among the people who lived there and that they should leave the place. The snakes would do so. Once a golden hued serpent came to him. He asked the reptile to fly away. The snake immediately flew away and disappeared. There are people who witnessed this incident at Kanhangad. On many occasions fearsome cobras would approach him and they would make peculiar sounds. "They are reciting “Datta-Datta-Mantra”, Swamiji would say.
Gurudev’s love for all animals was beyond human understanding. In the temple of Bheemeshwar at Ganeshpuri there was a temple bull. It was a great favourite of the devotees and was a rare kind of very intelligent and understanding animal. It died of old age and Gurudev made it a point to assign a spot for its burial and built a memorial for the bull in Ganeshpuri. It is known as “Nandi Samadhi”.
From Vajreswari, Gurudev shifted to a place called Ganeshpuri, a mile and a half away from the Vajreswari temple in 1936. That was to be his permanent residence. In those times, Ganeshpuri was a wilderness, surrounded by hills. It was believed that cannibal tribes of jungle folk lived in the region. Gurudev selected a location that had many hot -springs around it. The place was near the ancient temple of Bhimeshwar Mahadev. It was there that for the next twenty five years, Gurudev lived and he built it up into a Centre of Tapas and Satsang for fulfilling his divine mission of spiritual upliftment of the masses. During those years he was a Sthitapragna. Ganeshpuri is a resort famous for its natural beauty. The Mandakini mountain, mentioned in many scriptures is nearby and River Tejasa (Tansa) flows by the side of Ganeshpuri. Gurudev said that many a famous ‘Siddha’ lived in the mountain and many rare medicinal plants grew there. It is said that the great Sage Vasishta performed a famous "Yajna’ at Ganehspuri. There are many hot springs around the place. They are said to be the gifts of Sage Vasishta, who created them by his divine power for the use and comfort of the many sages who used to collect in that place for the Yajna. There are nearly three hundred and sixty such springs. The hot springs are reputed to possess very rare medicinal and curative qualities. In ancient times many famous Sages had done ‘tapas’ in that locality. This was the opinion of Gurudev. Sage Vasishta in one of his ‘Yajnas’ installed the ‘pratishta’ of Ganesh in a temple and hence the name ‘Ganeshpuri’. That is how the name of the place is explained. In front of the ancient temple of Bhimeshwar Mahadev. Gurudev got hot spring tanks dug. Gurudev is reported to have impressed upon many of his devotees that the hot springs were very sacred and that at what is known as “Brahmamuhutra” many divine ‘Siddhas’ come for a bath in them. Some devotees experienced the truth of Gurudev’s words about the hot spring tanks. One night Mrs. Muktabai went for a bath in the hot spring tanks. She saw unusually handsome youths who rushed from the spring tanks and disappeared inside the temple. She hurried back to the Ashram to seek the Master. Gurudev told her that they were the ‘Sanatkumars’ (the four sons of Brahma born of his mind alone-Sanakan, Sanadan, Sanatan, and Sanatkumaran). Gurudev would call the hot springs “Kotitheerthas”. Gurudev would ask devotees coming to Ganeshpuri to have a bath in those springs.

[B][U]Gajanan Maharaj of shegaon[/U][/B]

One “Kirtankar” named Govindbua Taklikar once came to Shegaon to perform Kirtan. There was an ancient temple of God Shiva at Shegaon and it was renovated by a rich man named Mote. Now-a-days the rich people are not very fond of spending money over building or renovating religious institutions like temples, instead they like investing their money on motors, cars and cycles. Mote Saokar was not that kind of a person. Though he was rich, he was a believer in God, and that was why he got the temple renovated. So the temple was called Mote’s temple. Now listen to the story. Govindbua Taklikar camped in the above-mentioned Mote’s temple and had tied his horse in front of the main door. The horse had very bad habits like kicking anybody coming near it, and biting people as well. It frequently snapped the ropes holding it, never stayed steady and at times used to run away in the jungles. Day and night it used to neigh causing lot of noise. Govindbua had got specially prepared iron chain for it, but forgot to bring the same with him during his trip to Shegaon The horse was some how tied with a rope while Govindbua slept in the temple monitoring the horse at all times.
It was past midnight and everything, had drowned into a pitch darkness. Night birds, creating fearful sounds, were searching for their feed. All the doors in the villages were closed and there was a fearful dead silence all around. Nobody was seen on the roads. At that time Shri Gajanan came to the place where the horse was tied. Saints’ birth on this earth is ordained by Gods to improve the bad people, and as medicine cures disease, the saints help remove the wickedness from the disillusioned people. So Shri Gajanan Maharaj on that particular night came to the horse and happily slept between its four legs. He was reciting His usual Mantra-“Gana Gan Ganat Bote”, the meaning of which nobody knew. My interpretation of this symbolic Bhajan is as follows - Gani means count, Individual soul, (Gana) means devotee, who is not different from Brahma and to suggest it the word “Ganat” is used. Bote appears to be the corrupt form of Bate meaning individual soul in Brahma Himself and not anything different from it.
There are two versions of this Bhajan, but we need not bother about it, as we are concerned about the story only. So Shri Maharaj slept in the four legs of the horse and was reciting the above mentioned Bhajan. The horse stood still as if restrained by the means of the ?Chain? of this Bhajan.
Govindbua was constantly anxious about his violent horse and so frequently got up and saw to it that the horse was restrained and not creating any havoc in the neighbourhood. When he saw that his horse was standing still it surprised him and he feared that his horse might be inflicted by some sort of an illness. The horse?s silence was quite unusual as it was never silent like this before. So, anxiously he went to the horse and was astonished to see that somebody was sleeping below its stomach. When he carefully looked down, he found that Shri Gajanan Maharaj was sleeping there. He now knew the reason as to why his horse stood so peacefully. It dawned on him that it was due to Shri Maharaj?s presence that the horse kept quiet. Just like the fragrance of Musk driving away the bad smell, the divine power emanating from Maharaj drove away all the sins surrounding the horse. Govindbua prostrated before Maharaj, placed his forehead on the feet of Maharaja and said, “O Maharaj, you are really Gajanan who clears all the obstructions. I have seen and experienced this today. My horse being very wicked caused all the people a lot of worry and anxiety, and so you have come to drive away its wickedness. It has been possessed by several bad habits like jumping and kicking while someone was riding it. I was fed-up with it and had offered to sell it off, but nobody wanted it, not even if I gave it away for free. It is really a good thing that you have obliged me by calming down this animal. Horse owned by a preacher like me should be a gentle one, since it is the sole means of transportation for us. Tiger is harmful in the house of a cowherd.” Thus the horse suddenly became gentle and thereby Shri Maharaj manifested His power to save even the animal life from straying away to the wrong path. Then He said to the Horse “O friend, don’t be naughty hereafter and quit all your bad habits from this moment on. Remember that you are standing here before Shiva and so should behave like a bull. Do not trouble anybody henceforth.” Saying so, Shri Gajanan, who controlled the behaviour of an animal, went away. Next day, while Shri Maharaj was in the garden, Govindbua came there riding his horse. All people of Shegaon knew the misbehaving horse of Govindbua very well and feared it greatly. When they saw it coming one of them said, “Govindbua, why have you brought this trouble with you? This horse will harm the ladies and children here.” Thereupon Govindbua said that Shri Maharaj had made the horse sober last night and forced it to abandon all its bad habits and that there was no need for anyone to fear it anymore. The horse was allowed to stand unrestrained under a tree and lo, it stood there for an hour in a well behaved manner. There was lot of vegetables & grass around the horse but he did not touch it at all. See how powerful are the saints, who can control the mannerisms of even the animals and change their habits. In praise of Maharaj, Govindbua chanted as follows:
Nobody in the world is able to understand your actions.
Your Blessings can bring-round any villain.
Please place your hand on my head as my benefactor."
So praising Him, Govindbua left for Takli on his horse.

[COLOR=blue][FONT=Arial]There was a man named Sukhlal Agarwal at Balapur who owned a wicked cow. She used to wander in the town trampling and hurting people by the means of her horns. She would enter any shop eat grains to her hearts content and then pushed and spilled the remaining on road. She even kicked oil and ghee containers thereby spilling the contents on the road. If tied down at home, she snapped the rope and broke the chains. She behaved like a tiger and the people of Balapur got fed up with her nuisance. She was not getting pregnant and never remained indoors. Many folks advised Sukhlal to hand her over to a butcher or get her shot down by a bullet. He permitted them to do whatever they liked to her. One Muslim man once tried to kill her by gun, but some how she seemed to have gotten some warning about it and so she attacked and threw him away by her horns. Sukhlal then took her and abandoned her in another village but she returned back to Balapur again. Somebody then remembered the fact that it was Shri Gajanan Maharaj who had tamed Govind bua?s horse, and so advised Sukhlal to take her to Shegaon and offer her to Shri Maharaj, thereby serving dual purpose of getting rid of her and obtain Punya for giving a gift to a saint. All liked the idea, but their attempts to catch her failed every time. Then they kept a heap of green grass and some cottonseed on an open ground. As the cow rushed to eat it, 10-15 people surrounded and trapped her by ropes. Then she was lifted and tied on a bullock-cart with iron chains and brought to Shegaon for giving her to Shri Maharaj. As Shegaon was nearing, there appeared a significant change in her behaviour, and when brought before Shri Maharaj, she appeared to be an extremely tame creature. With tears in her eyes, she looked at Shri Maharaj. Thereupon Shri Maharaj said. ?it is your foolishness to have tied and tortured a poor cow like this. Her neck, horns and legs are tied with rope and chains. Such type of ?Bandobast? is all right for a tiger but not for a poor cow like this. You fools! you should know that this is a cow, a mother of all, and by tying her like this you have committed a sin. Release her at once, she will not trouble anybody.? However, no one dare go close to her. Maharaj, with his sacred hands released her of all the restraining chains and ropes. As Soon as she was free the cow came down, folded her fore-legs and with bowed head went round him three times and started rubbing his feet by her tongue. All the people saw this miracle and were surprised. Shri Maharaj said to the cow, O cow, do not trouble anybody hereafter and don?t leave this place at all.?
When this happened all people raised cheers in praise of Shri Maharaj. Since then She was never tied by any rope and became a wise cow. Even today her progeny exists in Shegaon. This incidence shows that whatever is said by the saints always comes true.

[COLOR=black]Dear friends there are many such incidents recorded in india in different texts in different regions parts which we have been encountering since millennia due to the grace of siddha yogis.I by my limited intellect, capabilities and knowledge can not mention all of them. There are many siddha who must be still living, we by our worldly knowledge and intellect can not know them untill destiny, past merit and divine wills.Such great souls are like diamonds whose worth is assessed by jewellrs, they do not believe in improving anything they just uplift souls, devotees.As per them whatever is happening and will happen is the will of god.They only intercede on the karmas of there staunch devotees to help them out of human miseries which we fail to understand, we still clinge ourselves dearly to money wealth, power, wine, women and worldly pleasures. We as human beings have to achieve balance worldly and spiritual.[/COLOR]

Next time i will try to write on yogic powers of siddhas what i have grasped, which clearly will tell you yoga is divine, It is neither hindu, christian or muslim.It belongs to god and only God and his knowledge Vedas. If you still think yoga is christian then you as a soul have failed to come outside your boundaries, perceptions and impressions.This yoga takes you to that formless god who is referred to as Brahma, Vishnu and mahesh and many names with unlimited power and qualities.

On the path of Astanga yoga try to accept truth as it is.It is hard but we should learn to it.

But we as humans are always biased.

Namaste,

After reading most of the ancient texts of india i would like to share that ancient indians had well defined strategy on agriculture, business, democracy and governance. However there prime source of guidance till mahabharat war was vedas. All the kings had one rajrishi who was mantradrishta, realised and had deep knowledge of vedas. Hev was adviser to king and public in all matter.

i am enclosing matter on business from vedas for your knowledge and introspection by my guruji.Siddha yogis have emphasised on folowing ethical path to achieve end results of material sucess, as per them any thing achieved by illlegal means will be detroyed one day, path of hardwork, ethics ensure longetivity, happiness, satisfaction and success earned by hardwork though route is long.

Vedas are the store house of entire knowledge. God also gives knowledge regarding economy in four Vedas because the hard-earned money leads to attainment of eternal happiness in life. Hence, while imparting knowledge regarding finance and business God states in Yajurveda mantra 31/11 regarding Vaishya or a businessman - “YAT URU TADASYA VAISHYAHA AASEET” i.e., in the universe created by God he who has great strength in thighs and does hard deeds with quickness, he who travels throughout the country and abroad to create and distribute goods equitably throughout the country and abroad is true businessman/vaishyas. Such businessman knows all about business and agriculture.

Atharvaveda Kand 31, Sukta 15 and 17 states- “AHAM INDRAM VANNIJAM CHAUDYAMI” i.e., I pray to God who does business that “SAHA NAHA PURAHA ETA” that He may inspire us to progress in the path of business. This also makes it clear that before starting any auspicious work or business, we should always remember Almighty God. Mantra further states:-

“ARATIM PARIPANTHITAM MRIGAM NUDAN EESHANAHA MAHYAM
DHANADHAHA ASTU.” i.e., controller/commander of entire universe may obliterate all those who cause obstacles in business, who are our enemies, thieves, dacoits etc., and God may bestow wealth, assets on me when I work hard and put in my best efforts to carry on business.

Yajurveda mantra states- “SYAM PATYO RAYEENNAM” Oh! God, we may become owner of wealth and money.

Atharvaveda mantra 3/15/5 states that we should listen Vedas from learned acharya of Vedas, do Yajyen and pray in the manner that Oh! Learned of Vedas:- “DHANEN DHANAM ICHCHAMAANAHA YEN DHANENAM PRAPANNAM CHARAAMI TAT MEIN BHOOYAHA BHAVATU KANEEYAHA MA.” i.e., I desire to multiply my principal amount in business and employ money in buying and selling goods etc., so that my wealth increases and I may not suffer loss.

Oh! God while doing business we may always remain away from sins like illegal speculations,gambling, etc. Next mantra states that while desiring to multiply my business, may I exercise control over my senses, perceptions and mind and take interest in doing business for the pious sake of taking care of my family and may I always work hard to do so.

(VASISHTH) Oh learned person! (NADEENAAM) Amongst the worldly rivers there is one divine river which showers glories and other comforts and (ASURYA) mental and physical strength (VACHO) that river is Ved Vani. (GAAYISHE) So you chant and sing the Ved Vani (BRIHADU) and in the great (RODASEE) celestial bodies emitting light and earth you (MAHAYA) do worship (SARASWATEEM IT) only Saraswati i.e., Ved Vani (SUVRIKTIBHIHI STOMAIR) by performing the holy Yajyen.

[B]Meaning:[/B] Oh learned person! Amongst the worldly rivers there is one divine river which showers glories and other comforts and mental and physical strength that river is Ved Vani. So you chant and sing the Ved Vani and in the great celestial bodies emitting light and earth you do worship only Saraswati i.e., Ved Vani by performing the holy Yajyen.

[B]Idea:[/B] We must perform daily Yajyen/havan from Ved mantras which is a real worship of Ved Vani, which emanates direct from Almighty God. This is also a real worship of God.
God states in Rigveda mandal 7 sukta 96 that Oh learned persons! Worship the divine voice of Vedas which always bestows happiness on all and which never degrades any human-being nor gives sorrows.

Word ?pooja? belongs to Sanskrit language which means to give respect, honour and praise. When we respectfully and with faith listen to Vedas and then follows Vedas in conduct by doing only pious deeds, this amounts to worshipping divine voice of Vedas. Further it is stated that this worship ?Suvriktibhihi Stomaihi? is done through Yajyen. That is why Yajurveda states- ?Yajyey Nidhnum? i.e., voice of Vedas is the wealth of Yajyen. The Yajyen is presided over by the Brahma. Brahma means the learned of all four Vedas. The Brahma explains the Ved mantras in simple language to the people. All the aspirants listen the Ved mantras while sitting in Yajyenshala (place where Yajyen is performed) and offer aahutis and ghee to the pious fire in havan kund and in this way worship God and Vedas? voice.

Yaska Muni on the basis of Yajurveda mantra 1/1 states- ?Yajau Vai Shreshthatamam Karmaha? i.e., the above stated Yajyen is the most supreme pious deeds in the world. It is while sitting in the Yajyen and listening to Vedas that one gains knowledge about each and every matter of the universe along with spiritualism and the aspirant accomplishes Finance (arth), Religion (Dharma), pious desires (Kaam) and final liberation (Moksha). Mantra states that by performing yajyen, the human-beings acquire two types of gains:

(1) Abhyudaya (2) Nishreyas

i.e., the aspirant who worships the divine voice of Vedas gains all the glory, assets, wealth in this world and at last attains final liberation. The divine voice of Vedas is unchallengeable and true. That is why Tulsi states in his Ramayan about Sri Ram:

KOTINAH VAAJIMEDH PRABHU KEENHE

DAAN ANEK DWIJANAH KAHAN DEENHE

i.e., Sri Ram performed innumerable yajyen along with Mata Sita and donated to Rishis. In the similar manner, all of us should also perform the worship in the form of Yajyen. So Yajyen is not a simple Yagya. Yajyen gives worldly as well as spiritual knowledge. Almighty God has ordered us in four Vedas to perform holy Yajyen to get worldly and spiritual knowledge to attain glories, comforts and salvation. So it is a sin if anybody else without studying Vedas tell that Yajyen is a simple deeds to attain swarg etc., only. And such a statement also goes against Almighty God.

Whenever i read of swami samarth my head automatically bends for salution for this divine /siddh yogi. This great yogi has transformed the soil of akkalkot with his arrival, changed the hearts of million and still active through his samadhi mandir. Same is the case with Siddh yogi swami nityananda, Shree gajanan maharaj, Sai Baba of shirdi, Trailanaga swami and ramanna maharshi and other great siddh yogis taken birth in india. This great omniscient yogi said that the golden age of kaliyuga is approaching when sanatan dharma will again rise to its zenith with the birth of great souls again, this age will last for 10000 years , then decline of dharma wil continue and this chaturyugi will end.The ancient text of Bhavishya mahapurana too has proclaimed the same that after the elapse of 10000 years since the departure of Lord krishna the Golden era of Kaliyuga will come.We have completed 55oo years approximately after departure of Lord Krishna. Swami Nityananda of ganeshpuri too has said the same.While building the rock caves at kananghad, kerala, he has said during the golden era of kaliyuga many great souls will again take birth and meditate here, this will mark the arrival of sanatan dharmas golden era.

A brief biography of Swami samarth is here which i hope will direct all the souls yearning for enlightment:-
This unfathomable Divine Power was playing its divine sport at Akkalkot for the special cause of Dharma. It arrived in Akkalkot (which literally means town of intellect) for some specific cause. Omniscient Shri Swami Samartha of course knew that the Dark Age of Adharma (Kaliyuga) was nearing its end. He descended in Akkalkot with His own volition to establish a ‘Seat of Satya Dharma" at this place, from where the mission of its revival was to commence.

Shri Swami Samartha was omniscient and read even secret thoughts of anybody. He used to convince this with proofs. Shri Swami Maharaj’s talks and preaching were extremely enigmatic and cryptic. At times He would repeat some words or smaller sentences four or five times. It would become difficult for anybody to comprehend the meaning of His utterances at that time, but soon the message would become clear through some incident. In this manner He would foretell about incidents to come. Some times Shri Swami Samartha answered queries of some devotees with actions. Discernable and experienced disciples could understand the message thus conveyed by Shri Swami Maharaj only after some reflection. Shri Swami Maharaj offered advice to His devotees according to their spiritual aptitude. This is the reason why one may notice apparently contradictory teachings. While one disciple is asked to stop idol worship, other one is gifted an image/idol of his choice to be worshiped.

It is inborn nature of great souls to see that everybody progresses, the piety in everyone grows and everybody practices Satya Dharma. Shri Swami Maharaj alleviated the sufferings of the afflicted and fulfilled the desires of many distressed. To some He imparted the lessons in Yoga and to some He would order to establish a Math (Hermitage). He would severely reprimand some for their misconduct and ask the sincere disciples to stay in His holy company. During the span of His stay of 22 years in Akkalkot, He continually played such divine sports. Even after He left the body, He actually appeared in person to guide His close disciples.

Shri Swami Maharaj treated all disciples with same love and care. He never harbored the concept of untouchability, which was common in the Hindu social structure. He made no distinction between the Hindus or Muslims. Even today people belonging to all religious faiths respect Him. He accepted food at any devotee’s house irrespective of his caste or social status. Whenever a devotee from lower class came to seek His darshan, He would ask the devotee to come closer and offer him prasad. i.e. symbol of blessings in the form of sweets, eatables or clothes, with His own hands.
Shri Swami Maharaj treated the rich and poor with the same affection. Once, Shrimant Maloji Raje, the ruler of Akkalkot, came to visit Shri Swami Maharaj seated in a howdah on an elephant. When the ruler was bowing at the feet, Shri Swami Samartha slapped him on the face and said, “ Don’t show your greatness to me. I have seen many such kings that merely belong in the game of chess.” Thereafter Shrimant Malojiraje always made it a point to come for Swami Maharaj’s darshan on feet and scrupulously avoided any signs of his being the ruler.

If He ever came across a stone painted as God along the side of a road, He would sarcastically pass urine on it or at times even defecate near it. Shri Swami Maharaj through His actions denied the superstitious traditions that were prevalent in the contemporary society and laid the foundation for the revival of the Satya Dharma.

Whenever in delightful mood, He would accept all kinds of services from His valets with pleasure. But during His bad mood, no attendant could dare to go before Him. If this happened to be Aarti time then He would not allow even Aarti (Singing of devotional songs) to be performed properly. Some times He would throw away even Aarti lamps (lighted from cotton wicks soaked in cow ghee). It was customary to sing only one stanza if Shri Swami Maharaj showed one finger, sing two stanzas if He signaled two fingers and sing complete Aarti if Shri Swami Maharaj was in a cheerful mood.

Shri Swami Samartha loved dogs very much. But if He saw a cat he would drive it away calling it ‘unfaithful’. He loved cows.

He would mostly deny permission to go on pilgrimage to His devotees. One of His disciples had a desire of visiting Benares on pilgrimage and sought Swami Maharaj’s permission. Shri Swami Maharaj repeated a verse, which meant: ‘The dust at the feet of the saints alone is my holy place!’ This way He suggested that it was not necessary to travel to far places on pilgrimage on the contrary being in the service of holy men fulfilled the purpose.

Once a disciple asked Him in worried tone, “ Maharaj what is my fate, what will happen to me?” Shri Swami Maharaj shot back, “ What? Do you not have bulls?” Probably He wanted to suggest that any person who was prepared to sweat and toil would not lack any thing in life.

The incidence related with the performance of Yajnya in Akkalkot by Shri Swami Maharaj before his final departure is noteworthy. He performed a Yajnya in Jangam Math (a temple belonging to Lingayat community) at Akkalkot. He ordered His disciples to arrange 500 cow dung cakes over the Shivalingam. A holy Fire was made and cow’s ghee, coconuts, wheat, rice were offered in it. When asked, “ Maharaj what are you doing?” He replied “I am performing Yajnya of my Deha i.e. outward body.“

Shri Chidambar Dixit from Murgod (Dist. Dharwar, Karnataka), a great saint, once performed a Soma- Yajnya. It was a historic event. Shri Swami Maharaj was in charge of the stock of Ghee. Miraculously even after using enormous amounts of it during the performance of Yajnya and while food-distribution to innumerable visitors the stocks of Ghee would never diminish. This is the event that occurred 60 years prior to Swami Maharaj’s appearance in Akkalkot. Shri Swami Samartha often used to say “ I served ghee in the Yajnya of Chidambar Dixit” .

In fact, the very first Day when Shri Swami Maharaj appeared in Akkalkot, He showed the vision of Holy Fire. His arrival heralds the beginning of the fundamental and positive change in the universal spiritual thinking. Shri Swami Samartha sat at the entrance gate of Akkalkot for three days. On the fourth day a sentry? Ahemad Ali Khan asked him ?Do you smoke Hookha??, Shri Swami Maharaj replied ? Yes I do?. The commander had thought of fooling around with Shri Swami Samartha. He offered Swami Maharaj an empty smoking pipe but He accepted the pipe and took a puff. No sooner than he puffed there was smoke and flame emanating from the pipe.
This was the first vision of fire brought about by Swami Maharaj in Akkalkot. The empty pipe symbolized the debilitated state of Fire Worship. Shri Swami Samartha produced fire indicating that a Divine avatar capable of rejuvenating the ancient Vedic science of Fire would appear at Akkalkot in future. The ?empty pipe and fire? was no magic. Swami Maharaj Himself was ?Fire- personified?. Fire worship is the basic eternal discipline. He demonstrated this the movement he stepped in to Akkalkot.

On being questioned just prior to His Mahasamadhi by one of His close disciples
? When will you recover from your illness?? Shri Swami Maharaj replied, ? I will reappear when the hills and the mountains will speak and Pandhari will burn? Here too, through this cryptic remark, Swami Maharaj has given an indication of the future happening. He indicated the commencement of Satya Yuga and rejuvenation of the Vedas. Vedic Mantras were to reverberate through out the world and Fire worship which is the basis of Eternal religion of the Vedas was to prevail through out the planet.

During the same time Swami Maharaj asked one of the disciples, Shripad Bhat to sit digging the roots of the banayan tree - The banayan tree (Vata) is a symbol of Satya Dharma and Vedas. Swami Maharaj himself used to sit under a banayan tree most of the time.

About eight days prior to Mahasamadhi Shri Swami Samartha visited a small village named Naganhalli where looking in the direction of West, He repeated the following praise of Lord Shiva,

Shivahar Shankar Namami Shankar Shivashankar Shambho I

He Girijapate Bhavani Shankar Shivashankar Shambho II

(?Oh Shambho, I bow unto thee who art auspicious and grantest prosperity and confenest happiness.?)

One can now understand the significance of this incidence. Shivapuri, the abode of Lord Shiva Himself, is located a few kilometers west of Naganhalli. Shivapuri the holy Yajnya Nagar was founded by Paramsadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj to reiterate the ancient Vedic message of Yajnya and Agnihotra. It was here that Lord Shiva appeared to Shree during the great Somayaga performed in 1969 and expressed His desire to reside in this place rendering it holiest of places. This is the place which Swami Shivananda, Shree’s father chose for His Samadhi. Shri Swami Maharaj was indicating the future events with His yogic powers.

God is within all of us. We require a guru to know it. You can take any body as your guru but you require two things to realise brahmam shraddha (faith) and saburi ( patience), Great saint of shirdi has always this to his bhaktas. Along with purity of body we require mental purity observance of truth, ahinsa ( non violence) etc.It is said if you speak truth for 12 years continously you get vaak siddhi, whatever you speak will come true same can be achieved by spiritual sadhana.

In mahabharat which happened in india about 5300 years back there a dialogue between yudhisthir and yaksha(kuber), at that time pandavas were in exile as per the vow. One day while walking they were thirsty and were searching for water. First nakul went and located a well but a yaksha said first reply to my questions if you have satisfied then only you can take water , if you have not answered correctly then you will die, Nakul could not reply , so he died, then sahdev went and received the same fate, similarly bhima and arjun. Finally Dharma raj yudhisthir goes and answers. His dialogue and interpreatation by my Pujya guruji ji is pasted below for your self intospection:

[B]1). Who rises the sun? who moves around the sun? who sets it? and in whom is it established?
Ans. (Brahma) He is Almighty God who rises the sun. devtas moves around it. Its nature sets it and sun is established in eternal truth.

2). How does man become learned of Vedas (shrotreya)? How to attain supreme status? How does one get another companion and how does one become wise?
Ans. Study of Vedas makes a man shrotreya i.e., habitual of listening Vedas, supreme status by austerity (tapsya), by wielding patience one gets another companion and by serving elders, (learned person), one becomes wise.

3). What is devatva in brahmins? What is their religion like that of noble people, what is their human trait? What is conduct of Brahmin like ignoble people?
Ans. Study of Vedas is devatva in Brahmins, austerity (tapsya) is their religion like that of noble people, to meet with death is their human trait/nature and back-biting done by Brahmins is their conduct like ignoble people.

4). What is devatva in kshatriyas? What is their religion like that of noble people, what is their human trait? And what is their conduct like ignoble people?
Ans. Knowing the art and science of archery is devatva in kshatriyas, yajyen is their religion like that of noble people, fear is their human trait and abandoning those who seek their shelter and security is their conduct like ignoble people.

5). What is Yajyeeya sam? What is Yajyeeya Yaju? What adopts Yajyen and whom does the Yajyen not transgress?
Ans. Prann i.e., (breath) is sam yajyen. Mind/intellect is Yajurveda related to Yajyen, only Ved mantras adopt Yajyen and Yajyen does not violate/transgress Ved mantras.

6). What is most important for cultivators? What is most important for those who sow? What is most important for effluent rich and what is most important for those indulged in producing children?
Ans. Rain is most important for cultivation, seed for those who sow, cow-rearing for effluent rich and son is the most important for those who want to produce children.

7). Who despite being honoured and respected among people, experiencing the stimuli of sense organs, perceptions etc., and while breathing is yet not considered alive?
Ans. He who does not nurse:dev, atithi, dependent family members, elders and soul (self) is like a dead despite taking breaths.

8). What is heavier than earth? Higher than sky? More speedy/possessing greater motion than air, more in number that straws/blade of grass?
Ans. Mother is heavier than earth, father is higher than sky, mind/intellect is more speedy than air, worries are more in number/ countless than blade of grass.

9). Who does not close eyes despite sleeping? Who does not exhibit motion on being created, who does not possess heart, who increases with velocity?
Ans. Fish does not close eyes while sleeping, egg does not exhibit motion on being given birth to, stone does not possess heart and river increases with velocity.

10). Who is friend of migrant who stays abroad? Friend of family holder/householder, patient and he who is about to meet with death?
Ans. Co-traveller is the friend of migrant, wife is friend of household, doctor is the friend of patient and donated assets are friend of the man who is near to death

11). Who is the atithi/guest of all living beings, what is eternal religion, amrit (ambrosia) and the whole world?
Ans. Fire is atithi of all living beings, immortal true, eternal religion is sanatan religion, i.e., eternal knowledge of Vedas is sanatan religion, cow?s milk is ambrosia and air is entire world.

12). Who wanders alone? Who is born again after being born once? What is the medicine for cold, what is the big land to sow the seed?
Ans. Sun wanders alone, moon takes birth again after being born, fire is the medicine for cold, earth is the big land to sow the seeds.

13). What is the main area of religion, glory/fame, heaven, happiness?
Ans. Efficiency/dexterity is the main place of religion i.e., all the moral duties mentioned in Vedas when are held in action is life, that sort of perfection is called the main place of religion, donation is the main place of glory/fame, truth is the main place of heaven and modesty is the main place of happiness.

14). What is the soul of human-being, who is his friend, support and shelter?
Ans. Son is the soul of human-being, wife (life-partner) his friend, clouds his support/anchor and donation his shelter.

15). What is the Quality of noble people, supreme amongst all wealths, supreme amongst all gains and most supreme happiness?
Ans. Modesty is the quality of noble people, i.e., he is noble man who exercises the moral duties mentioned in Vedas in life, knowledge of shastras is the most supreme wealth, good health is the most important gain and satisfaction in life is the most important happiness.

Vedas say God is formless, Upnishads in detail have talked about its formlessness. Siddha yogis like Shirdi sai baba, Gurunanak ji, Swami Sammarth have too said.
the question is why he is formless. One of the seeker has asked this question to my Guruji . The querry and answer are here for your contemplation:
[B]Seeker :[/B] I have a doubt please guide me/ I heard that soul is immortal and shapeless but takes shape in the form of man, women, animal etc. by the means of birth and death. So why God who is also shapeless cannot take shape by means of birth and death for preaching or guiding human beings?

[B]Swami Ramswarup:[/B] Yes, soul is the minutest matter and can?t be seen with naked eyes or any instrument therefore, it can be told to be shapeless. As also said in Atharvaveda mantra 10/8/25 soul is immortal. Please, see that Almighty God is also formless and immortal. But He is omnipresent, omniscient and Almighty but the soul does not contain the said qualities.

Atharvaveda mantra 10/8/25 states that soul is alive matter who is even minutest than the tip of hair (Shwetashwtaropnishad chapter 5, shlok 9 also refers).

Next mantra 26 states that soul is ?AJARA? i.e., changeless and ?AMRITA? i.e., immortal and resides in the body of human being. Mantra further clarifies that body of human being is ?MARTAYASYA? i.e., is destructible.

Next mantra 27 states that soul while residing in body of human being looks like woman or man or young boy/girl but soul himself is not man, woman, girl, boy etc. So, soul sometimes looks like father, sometimes looks like mother but in reality soul is neither father nor mother etc. As told above soul resides in body but soul is not body. For example- electric current focus in a wire but current itself is not a wire. Current is separate and wire will always remain separate from current. So is the case of soul and human body. Not only the case of human body but it applies to all living beings. For example- in the body of bird, it looks like a bird and if in the body of elephant, it looks like an elephant. But see the soul is not bird, elephant etc. He is always unchangeable. But he changes body of living-beings based on his previous lives? deeds. When soul enters the body then body acts and when soul comes out of body then body becomes dead. So body becomes dead and not soul. Soul takes another body when the previous body dies away.

As clarified above, God has unlimited, different qualities, from soul i.e., God is omnipresent, omniscient, almighty, creates, nurses and destroys the universe whereas such qualities can never be attained by soul.

Soul faces the result of his previous lives? deeds in the body of living being but not the God. There must be a reason behind to take human body by God. But all the four Vedas and the true holy granths state that there is no reason for Almighty God to take birth.

God is Almighty which means, He has unlimited powers and Yajurveda mantra 31/4 states that ?PADASAYA ABHAVAT PUNAHA? i.e., only a part of this divine power creates, nurses and controls the whole universe. So, there is no reason left behind for which Almighty God would require to take birth etc. God has no desire so why would He desire to acquire human body to preach the public. It is a fundamental eternal law of God that only at the beginning of each universe, the knowledge of four Vedas emanates direct form God and is originated in the heart of four rishis. Then the knowledge is spread in the human beings.

So God inspire the human beings through Vedas to be learned of Vedas. He has no desire to take birth to educate the people. Suppose, He desires to educate the world then like the four rishis who attain knowledge of Vedas direct from Almighty God, under the eternal, unchangeable law of God, (without God taking birth like man/woman) at present also the knowledge could have been attained by entire universe within no time by the desire of God. However, this can?t happen since God is desireless. In this connection Shwetashwataropnishad shlok 6/8 also states:
?SWABHAVIKI GYAN BAL KRIYA CHA? i.e., divine knowledge, deeds and power to control the universe is automatic. It means only a fraction of His power is sufficient to control the universe as stated above. God hence needs not to think or desire etc.

Often we have debate in our mind at times when we are undergoing rough patches and sorrows in life, though in your present body you must be a sane and pious person why am I suffering, what is the couse? We think there is no God. In fact we suffer becoz of our karmas Good or bad performed by us in our countless births, though at time man made justice may fail but divine who is always with every soul every moment, his justice never fails.Yajurveda mantra 7/48 states that a person is always free to do any deed i.e., pious deed or sin but result is awarded by Almighty God.

There are three types of deeds (karmas) - sanchit, prarabhadh and kriyamann. Suppose one soul has to take birth (body). It means he has to face total number of deeds of his all previous lives and these deeds are called sanchit karmas but sanchit deeds are huge/unlimited and cannot be faced in one life. So the karmas which can be faced in one life are called prarabhadh (luck-destiny). So God has not made our luck at His own but Almighty God has taken the deeds which we have already done.

Yajurveda mantra 7/48 clarifies that human being is free to do any deed good or bad but God only awards the result. Now the balance deeds from sanchit deeds will be counted in the next life. Now the deeds which we do in our day today present life are called kriyamann.

If we do pious deeds according to Vedas, shastras and holy books and based on pious preaches of Rishi, Muni/learned saints then our all sanchit deeds are burnt and we can get salvation. Human beings are free in the matter of doing deeds good or bad. But result will be awarded by God. So we must worship and do pious deeds under guidance of a learned Guru. One should go always ahead for hard working, pious deeds, worship to make future bright himself. One should always work hard towards a right path.

Worship does not mean that we are free to discharge only our family duties, education, etc., but rather it is a sin. We have to get progress in both way at a time i.e., spiritualism and worldly progress i.e., science, education, duties towards family etc. God creates the universe according to His eternal law framed in Vedas which are always unchangeable and unchallengeable. So we have to follow the law of God always to get long happy life.

What karmas make us brahmin , kshatriyas, shudra and vaisyas? In this connection Yajurveda mantra 31/11 states that this universe (brahamannaha) learned of Vedas who knows and realizes God (mukham aseet) is equivalent to mouth i.e., he who knows Vedas, does hard practice of ashtang yoga philosophy, does daily yajyen and has control on his senses, perception and mind, always speaks truth etc., is called Brahmin i.e., based on the said qualities a person is called as Brahmin and not by birth. Similarly (bahu rajannaya kritaha) he who attains physical and mental power, is brave, protects the nation, he is kshatriye. Mantra again states (uru tadasya) i.e., he is vaishya/mahajan who has got perfection in agriculture, business etc. (padabhyam shudraha ajayat) he who has not gained education properly and can not discharge duties of a kshatriye or vaishy, he services the others and called shudra. So, caste system as blamed by scholars has not been made by Vedas- shastras. It is again the origination of human mind devoid of spirituality and Godliness.

There are three types of sorrows as stated by Kapil muni Adhyatmik, adhi bhautik, adhidevik are three types of sorrows. These have been very stated by Kapil Muni in His Sankhya shastra sutra 1/1. Sutra states:
TRIVIDHIHI DUKHAHA ATYANT NIVRITTI ATYANT PURUSHARATHAHA
Meaning: There are “TRIVIDHIHI DUKHAHA” i.e., there are three types of sorrows- adhidevik, adhibhautik, adhyatmik. An aspirant has to destroy the said sorrows by real worship of God which is the motto of the human beings.

dear friends often the preachers of various religions especially christian and islam says that Jesus is the only God and allah is the only god, the worshippers of other faith are sinners and heathen. After delving deeper and deeper into this aspect i think Jesus was a yogi , a god realised soul, he never claimed he is God, Allah is the formless God which is purely described in vedas. However countless murders are happening on the name of allah and countless ancient cultures have been wiped out on the name of Jesus, which is still happening in india and across the world. Does really God want us to kill one another and hate another. No one else can better explain God then a siddha yogi, a brahma yogi/gyani, as every second he is meditating and immersed in God, he has achieved Him who is supreme.

Lets see what Sai baba the great yogi of shirdi says on this issue:-

  1. Take it for a truth God does exist.

  2. This world is nothing but his own manifestation.

  3. He is the creator, the sustainer and the destroyer of this world.

4.Not an iota of space is devoid of Him.

5.He is the order of paramount.

  1. His Divine will be Supreme.

  2. But for His will, earth will crumble to pieces, water will dry up, wind will stop, the sun shall not rise , the moon shall not shine, the rains shall stop, the crops shall not grow, men, animals and creatures all will perish, the world will be no more.

  3. So with the tongue you have, chant his name , with the ears his glory, with the eyes see his manifestation. Waste no time in trifle. Human body, Gods gift is seldom obtained.

  4. Treat others in the way you wish they should treat you.

  5. Inflicting pain on others by body, mind and speech is sin. The reverse is merit goodness.

  6. Avoid sins if you want happiness and peace of mind.

  7. Do not draw comparisons between yourself and others, Each get what he deserves.

  8. Rejoice at others happiness.

  9. Let your life serve a lesson to others.

15.Help the poor feed the hungary and afford shelter to homeless.God assumes Diverse forms and there is no knowing when and in what form He will appear before you and beg; so do not be harsh on beggars, do not give vent to anger, but remain silent if you are not inclined to give him.

My Guru too says that Sun is rising on time, crops are maturing in time, seasons are being changed as per time,moon is rising in time so this proves that God is there. Because without him nothing will happen.

For a long time i am thinking to start a spiritual thread on great masters, quite few of them i have collected from various sites and i read them from time to time. i request moderator to permit this as this is good for spiritual upliftmen.It purifies the senses. But some how it is not happening. Right now we in house are celebrating Navratri, nine days worsip of Great Yogini Durga, wife of Lord Shiva, and her forms. She represents mother aspect of Almighty God Known as maa adi shakti and with her there are 64 yoginis who are too worsipped. Today is astami and i did mantra pooja with sandhya , havan and offering to Goddess.Tomorrow is the last day.

Thanks for the helpful website. I too have read the bhagavad Gita according to Gandhi and found it quiet enlightening. There is also a version by Swami Yogananda that takes a really unique look at the Bhagavad and also provides so many useful footnotes to expand on ideas. Check it out if you get a chance.

Often we think of Guru, how should he be/ who is a real Guru. With little insight i have gained a real guru should be the one who himself has realised God by hard practice of Astanga yoga, who teaches to love all the human beings and gods manifestations, He should have the knowledge of both Shabd Brahma (Vedas) and Param Brahma ( Actual realisation of Vedic Knowledge by practice of astanga yoga). He should be like Shirdi Sai Baba, Swami Paramhansa yogananda,Ramanna Rishi, Swami Sammarth of akkalkot, Shri Gajanan Maharaj, Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Shri Guru, Adi Shankara, Shri Guru Nanak Ji etc.

There is only one God who creates universe, nurses and destroys and again creates. Yajurveda mantra 31/7 and several other Ved mantras say that God has preached His worship in Vedas. But now a day’s most of the worships are against Vedas, as also said by Tulsidasji in his Ramayana couplet 99 (b). In the ancient times up to Mahabharat period too there were only Vedas to be adopted and worship in the form of prayer, Yajna and Ashtang yoga etc., was being practised. The ancient Rishis Munis used to give Vedas knowledge only. They lived in Gurukul in a very simple life holding unlimited knowledge of Vedas and yoga philosophy and by their Tapsya they used to give equal blessings to the world.

These Rishis Munis used to sit on one platform with whole hearted happiness. For example in Valmiki Ramayana when Rishi Vishwamitr went to King Dashrath to take Shri Ram to kill the demons to protect his holy Yajna. Then Dashrath immediately refused but Dashrath’s Guru Vashisth Muni interrupted, explained and gave order to king Dashrath to give Shri Ram to Rishi Vishwamitr. I am not giving the detailed story here. So what was the reason behind? The reason behind was only this, that Rishi Vishwamitr as well as Guru Vashisth both were philosophers of Vedas, Yajna and Yoga philosophy. So there was no friction within their hearts. A mother and father both, without any friction, love their newly born baby. So when all Rishis loved only one Almighty God, from whom Vedas are originated and again the Rishis loved Vedas, so no question of friction. The Rishis used to bless all people and even kings with the result everybody was happy at that time and everybody was rich with the blessings. Now it is reverse.

The so-called Gurus are rich and most of the people are poor. In Hinduism too there are so many Devtas and thus the different types of worship. Now whatever one Guru says another one criticizes because ways are different and in reality the religion has been made profession by most of the so-called Gurus at present. When target is not true and good then how the above story of donating Shri Ram can be repeated and how all Gurus can sit on one platform. When the target is profession and not services of people through Vedas then it is impossible that so called Gurus can sit on one platform. The so-called Gurus can say at their own that their target is one but on ground it seems not to be a true. All the so-called Gurus have made their own several ashrams to command etc.

God has made universe and blessed us human body to do pious deeds only. He has not made any heaven or hell. All have to face the result of their deeds good or bad here only, even by taking rebirth. God has not only made universe but has also given knowledge of four Vedas.
