[quote=Rashmi;9886]Dear friends,
namaste,
The propogation of vedic culture to middle past was hindered and then jesus came and spread eternal dharma of god, his teachings were written after he left bethlem which is contained in bible.One thing i would like to mention this was written by his followeres, who were not self realised or mantradrishta unlike him. this bible was changed no of times due to the human vices of intellect, ego, superiority of race by roman emperore.So texts like i have come to teach the truth by the sword is not taught by jesus but by the people /Emperors to satisfy their ego and imperialist approach…One yogi can not be different from other. So Jesus was portrayed as Jealous and belittled. That land never had any great yogi after Jesus. Where ever such things are there it is written by people of intellect and mind and other vices of human mind.

“I came to teach the truth by the sword”, this is not in the Bible.
Christians are supposed to send the message of salvation, but not by force.
The problems appear when a religion becomes organized, official, and it meddles into politics. You are right, terrible things have been done in the name of the Christ, but they surely are punished, as God does not tolerate injustice.
Jesus said a lot of upsetting things, but those are upsetting only to a man of the world. I like the radical approach He often had. The truth is not negociable. But He also had compassion, and tought love.
What you say about the recordings of Jesus’ life, is probably true. People usually write things down because of the fear of forgetting important things. When things get written down, they must be mentalized.
Still, the Bible and the New Testament (Covenant) are in a surprisingly good shape, although they are prone to being misinterpreted, as anything written down. I must admit that by studying yoga, my understanding of the Bible was tremendously enhanced.
I often get sad as I witness Jesus’ teachings being misinterpreted, or misused, and especially by those who are supposed to be His messengers. They so often get lost or rigidly attached to His words written down, and often they overlook the real message, because they take them out of their context.
I also get sad when I see adherents of various religions debating things what are not for the mind to settle, but for the heart. I am not saying mental comprehension is useless, but these debates are mostly too superficial.
My dream is that the real message of Jesus will be heard by more and more people in the West, and finally, from a mystery religion, based on ritualistic worship, christianity will be revitalized by a deeper personal understanding and acceptance, where personal freedom of thinking and feeling is not endorsed by dogma, where people will realize that as Jesus tought, we are all brothers, as God is our father, where people will discover their spiritual kinship and realize that even if we are not equal to Jesus or God, Jesus is the one through whom God made himself equal to us, and thus, we must respect the other person as Jesus or God Himself. If we strive to do that, no religion or dogma can separate us, no border, nationality, wealth or gender will be in our way.
PS: thank you Rashmi for your consistent efforts to present us your spiritual teachers, their and your toughts, they are quite valuable and inspiring. I always enjoy reading them.
