Vote on the first yoga book to read!

Based upon the suggestions of the community, please vote on which book you would like to read and discuss first.

  1. Yoga Mala by Jois

  2. Yoga Darshan by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

  3. The Yoga Tradition: Its History, Literature, Philosophy and Practice by Georg Feuerstein

  4. The Heart of Yoga by T. K. V. Desikachar

  5. The Diamond Cutter by Geshe Michael Roach

  6. Light on Pranayama by B.K.S Iyengar

I have set the poll to close in 7 days from the time of this post. At that time, the book with the most votes will be our first reading.

I voted, but love all the suggestions. Roll on 25 March!

These two looked most interesting to me.

  1. Yoga Darshan by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

  2. The Heart of Yoga by T. K. V. Desikachar

I voted for Heart of Yoga because it looked more interesting to me and heck I’m ordering me a copy of the book anyway!

I actually have, and have started but not gotten very far into, The Heart of Yoga, so on the off chance that the vote ends up tied, I’m willing to switch my vote.

Looks good,David!

Should I switch my vote?

I may be biased but I’d say yes!

I just got my copy of The Heart of Yoga and flipping through it I definitely would love to see others take on it and talk about it.
