What do you see

From a recent issue of a popular Yoga periodical.

Well, since usually when one asks that question, they mean “what is wrong in this picture”, and to me the “models” seem to have some alignment issues, I’m going to jump in and say their pelvises should be on a level plane, not rotated as they are, and the knees of the balancing legs look hyperextended. Also, from my small familiarity with the pose, is not the lifted knee joint supposed to be on a plane with the hip joint?

Yeah, isn’t the leg supposed to be level with hip and the back arched more up, making a kind of O with the back, arm and lifted leg?

Googling Dancer’s Pose, I find loads of variations. Are they necessarily wrong? Do tell.

I think we have some knee issues here my friends:mad:

I see three gorgeous women in standing bow pose. (one of them isn’t you in a halloween costume, is it?)

Yes, three absolute stunners in Natarajasana.

The envy of some perhaps and/or the admiration of others.

lol…

the only thing that stands out to me are locked knees

Is it the middle and 3rd ones knees facing to the side instead of front and is foot of middle too small
and 1st knee standing is backwards or thigh attached to lower leg wrong

I bet it’s something much more profound and deep.

a lot of tension in the necks?

Genuine Thanks Thomas, you’ve just reminded me of how much tensionn is in ,stored in my own neck.

Three evolving souls who are busy purifying their bodies through asana.

No “natural rubber, super sticky, eco friendly yoga mats” for only $79.95. And a sexy tattoo I’d like to see the rest of.

Or rather three invisible yoga mats

Loads of stuff. If I look carefully, I see the picture, things in the picture that make out the picture, like the people in it, their clothes, the floor. But I also see that these are built up by “parts” such as arms, hair, nails and so on. I also see three “.” above the picture, and they are made up by pixels. I see a lot of white in the screen, your avatar, loads of texts in the panels of the forums. I see the edge of my computer screen and some other things on my desk. All of this is made up by many small parts. I honestly can’t be bothered to define all things I see, as it would probably take me a lifetime.

But I think I see an overwhelming amount of “things”, and to make it easier to understand, my mind tries to logically group them together, as “human” or “floor” or “screen” or “desk” and so on to make less objects.

Sorry, maybe I got the question wrong?

I see a navel and a tattoo that I want to she the lower part of.

I like Pandara’s response.
But I also see my own edge in backbending poses – lots of curve in the lumbar area, but not so much in the thoracic.

I’m going to guess that perhaps there is no “wrong” to any of our answers.
I think it’s amusing for Gordon to post such a simple question, because it can be interpreted so very many ways.
I’m eager to see what he saw in this picture that he hoped we would also perceive.

the knees, legs weird especially 2 and 3 standing parts yeah I think so

i see perfection
