For me, it’s in the morning. It awakes you and your muscles nicely and it’s also easier to do it with an empty stomach, which is ideal. You are not supposed to eat at least 3 hours before your yoga practice, so this is a bit hard to do in the evening, at least for me. It’s also great after work, in the late afternoon, because it helps release the tension, in order to get better sleep at night. There are no side effects anyway and whatever works better for your own body and spirit is recommended.

Yoga is a practice .... a practice that is beneficial mentally physically and spiritually
so any time is better than none
That said the time your mind and body will give you more bang for your buck so to speak is in the morning to put your mind and body insync for the day
and in the evening to relieve the mind and body from the stresses of the day
