- What is your favorite asana?
- Why it is your favorite?
- Do you think it reflects your personality?
- I love pashimotanassana (head to knee )
- I makes me feel good, especially stretch in the back
- I think flexible people are flexible in everyday life. Sometimes too flexible:)
- i like the pose known as cat’s tail, no idea what it is called in sanskrit.
- it opens up the upper back
- i am laid back by nature so poses done lying down on the floor appeals to me
- Pigeon pose (at the moment)
- Hips and back feel lovely after this
- No
i’m a beginner, so I only know very few poses by now, but of those
- warrior II
- it feels like a powerful, strong pose; love the alignment
- hmmmm… honestly, I don’t know
- Bhujangasana (Cobra pose)
- It envolves many muscles, gives energy, courage, flexibility, and not supposed to take a lot of time )
- It might (beacause i like it), but only the pose, not it
s name - I
m not so dangerous
- I don’t know it’s name: you sit in full lotus and then move forward and lay flat on belly.
- I have a problem with my back and in this pose pain is gone and I feel not only relief - its a pleasure!
- Hm… I like to be relaxed?
- Utthita parshvakonasana C [look] (I’m not really sure about the name, but I think it’s correct)
- Because it feels so good for the back, and I have done it quite good ever since first time. Also, I had to take photo on it for a manual I wrote, see above.
- Yes. Twisted pose
- Padmasana
- It’s nice to sit in, makes me feel stable.
- Probably not since my mind is usually very scattered.
- Vasisthasana (Side Plank)
- I am not sure, I think I like it because I am surprised I can actually do it, though my core is not strong, and I often feel weak in many areas. It just feels so simple and stable to me.
- I think it reflects how I like to be. Simple, but stable.
Thank you all! very interesting insights!
@ Danny, very nice pose. Also like twisting, standing and sitting. That would have to be one of my favorite twists I think the amount of force you can adjust is great.
1.) Bakasana (Crow pose)
2.) It’s the first step into all the other armbalancing poses. Side Crow reminds to a baby freeze in break-dancing, but in baby freeze the temple touches the floor. The Side Crow doesn’t and makes it more of a challange.
3.) Allways trying to be in balance.
- Parivrtta Trikonasana (Revolved Triangle)
- For some reason I feel both powerful and liberated in this pose. I have scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and so I love all twists as they bring strength and flexibility to my back muscles.
3.hmm…trying to think of something creative here…I think I love spinal twists because I like seeing things from many different points of view
Love this one. So so relaxing and way good for your skin too!
Cobra Pose
I can actually feel the stretch
Helped me when had lower back pains
At the moment and this changes quite a bit
Matsyasana the fish pose
I feel so calm in this pose; a very very comfortable pose, feel like I can fall asleep
Not really…although I am part fish with my moon sign in Pisces!
at the moment, i like the inversion postures.
shirshasana - it’s interesting to let your mind run loose when you are in the posture. lots of thoughts come in… and then you begin to sway. that’s when you stop and let the body take over. the spine, the sternum, the shoulders… and then finally the single point on your head. from then on… it’s all about balance and the focus on your breath.
- Corpse pose
- it’s so relaxing and rejuvenating
- Before yoga, I led a very sedentary lifestyle. This could be why I identify with the pose so much
I love the foetal position after Savasana, because when I look around the class everyone looks so innocent and child-like…it’s sweet
1)Urdhva Dhanurasana (wheel pose)
2)It is such an open pose that makes you feel like your nearly flying upside down.
3) Maybe because I dream of flying
