Namaste chamssou15,
You sound like you’re in a situation where you need to rebuild your life from scratch. I was once in that situation, and I have come a long way since. So I can offer you some help.
You first need to identify what your long term and short term goals are in the various aspects of life. Here is a method I have devised that I find has been very effective in helping me to be clear about what exactly I need to do.
SOCIAL
PHYSICAL
EMOTIONAL
MENTAL
SPIRITUAL
I find that the long term goals of everybody are the same. The social aspect is making friends and forming a good network of contacts of people who you can meet up with for coffee, go to the cinema, do sports together. It also includes relationships and dating, but before you even consider that, you should have some foundation in your life. It is not advisable to invite another person to share your life if you don’t have it together yourself.
You will also need to consider working to find your place in the work world. The best way to start is to simply volunteer somewhere and in the meantime go to community college and do some course which will give you qualifications to get paid work later on in an area you are interested in.
The physical aspect is to do some kind of exercise to keep your body fit, flexible, supple and healthy. Even joining the gym and working out is better than nothing because it releases endorphins in your body, increases your metabolism and gives you energy, which results in you feeling better. Also considering doing a sport, martial arts are probably the best sport to do and it boosts your confidence as well. In addition make sure your diet is good, you’re eating a proper balanced diet, with plenty of fruit and veg.
The emotional aspect is for you to find a hobby/interest/art that you enjoy and cultivate this aspect. It is really fulfilling to do art for example, I personally enjoy singing and I use to design graphics in photoshop which I found really fulfilling. Sometimes I do writing.
The mental aspect is to challenge your mind to keep it alert, active and sharp and this is best done by doing memory and concentration exercises, crosswords, puzzles. As well as reading literature, philosophy, poetry, science.
The spiritual aspect keeps your soul healthy which you do through Yoga and meditation, charity by helping others, devotional singing and dancing in your local religious community and reading scripture.
If you cultivate each aspect of your being holistically you will begin to develop a solid foundation of your life and everything will begin to fall together in the end. Now, that I have given you a basic structure on how to pull your life together, how you execute this is all up to you and your responsibility. You can find friends by going to bars, social clubs, community centres, going out on the street and talking to people(people like to be talked to). You can go to a cheap gym, but if that is to not feasible, then just do exercise at home using your own body(circuit training) and do Yoga postures(get a book or a dvd on Yoga postures) You can get a pad and write stories, draw.
Basically what I have outlined is very doable on any budget. But you going to have to make an effort to execute it.
