When Surrendering is Attaining the Highest

The Bhagavad Gita in the last chapter declares:

“sarva-dharman parityajya, maam ekam sharanam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo, mokshayisyami ma suchah” ,

i.e. (when you have exhausted all other ideas to attain Moksha/ Salvation/ Enlightenment), simply let go even the dutiful actions (i.e. Dharma) and surrender unto Me totally, and I will liberate you; have not the slightest doubt.

The Bhagavad Gita, being an exposition of the Way of Yoga, surrendering definitely seems to be the highest way to attain, the ultimate (spiritual) goal of human life.

Ananyaashchintayanto maam ye janaah paryupaasate;
Teshaam nityaabhiyuktaanaam yogakshemam vahaamyaham.
22. To those men who worship Me alone, thinking of no other, of those ever united, I secure what is not already possessed and preserve what they already possess.

“Krishna’s description of Bhakti is “Ananya”. He says “I will give you Ananya Bhakti”, He wants Ananya Bhakti, means when there is not the other, means when we are realised. But when it comes to giving, He says, you have to come to Me with Ananya Bhakti, means when you have become one with Me.” Then you should have the devotion, not before that, before that, you are not connected."- ?
