Hi, I am a beginer in yoga. I am looking for a program that can tone, build muscle and flexibility. Is there such a program? I have tried the p90x, insanity and a few others. My problem is they are just too entisive, so are other workouts I do. I do good for the first 2-3 weeks and after that I lose all modivation in doing them. I am looking at yoga, for a less “dogy dog” work out and more of a…I dont know, I do not want to say easy, but a smoother work out that I look forward to doing and not having to push myself to the point of extreme exhaustion. I was wondering if someone could suggest a program along these lines. I was told by a friend on the net that yoga can give the same results if not better without face to floor pushups, or sit ups that kill you etc. Any help is much appreciated. I also have chronic eczema which I think adds to it, doing hard force exersizes kills my hands and tears them up to the point where I have to stop for a weeks time. There has to be something that can get rid of fat and flab, and keep the body in shape.
Now I do not mind running, but is there also a program for cardiovascular? I am not sure if I push myself too far or if it is normal, but after running for a few days, the shins of my legs hurt. Not sore muscle hurt, but almost like the bone itself is brused of some sort. There has to be an alternative, I want to get into shape but I just do not have the “push yourself to the max” body or motivation.
Just go around the town and find a yoga you like. Everything I advise would be based on my experience, and you will have to go and experience your experinece:)

I second that!
Overall, (IMO) it’s about finding something you like to do (gives results you want, makes you feel good, etc.), that way there’s a better chance of it sticking.
