Kids need variety. The more various taste expereinces they have when small, the nore they will be able later to make choices, and avoid bad habits. The problem is more complex though, as on one part, we can't force them to eat, let's say vegetables, if they don't like it. And we adults are often unable to realize that small children still have the natural sense of what is good for them, and in what quantity.
On the other hand, if we allow ourselves to be judgemental about others, we are really not any better. We must take one step further, and be the model for a better choice. It works. But most of the time, we face conflict and rebuke exactly beacuse we are judgemental.
