Wow, do I sweat and it's not even Bikram

Greetings all. I have done yoga on and off since I was 25. I took a long hiatus (about 6 years) due to family drama. I have recently gotten into it again and I’m doing it way more than I ever did before. I go to a studio twice a week for classes and have a collection of Dvd’s I workout to at home on days when i don’t have class.

I cannot believe how much I am sweating. Eventually i want to try Bikram but if i’m sweating so extremely now, i can only imagine what it would be like in a room that’s 105 degrees.

Does anybody else here sweat profusely when practicing Hatha yoga?

It is written in the classical yoga-scriptures that sweating is normal effect of pranayama. If you continue to sweat on breathing exercises it is a good sign of doing the exercises properly. However the sweating should reduce with the time.
Also sweating is a sign of good blood circulation, but if you have high blood pressure, try practicing bhujamgasana (cobra) on daily basis.
