Yoga And Weight Lifting

I do weightlifting, and I have been for about a year now with good results

Recently I started doing yoga, and saw a physical trainer to change up my weightlifting (to make a more balanced routine, set up for my goals, etc…)

My yoga instructor said yoga is safe to do every day, but my question is whether or not it is safe to do yoga the day after working out, or if doing so will reduce the effects of either exercise or increase my risk of injury/delay healing

It will not interfere with your workouts at all. You can totally do yoga and weightlifting the same day. I do so myself.

I enjoy yoga first thing in the morning, and heavy weightlifting in the afternoon. If anything it will benefit your weight training, as you will help oxygen and prana flow through your blood and tissues in a spectacular way. So it will speed up the healing process.
