Yoga Apparel

Hello everyone. I am doing some research on the consumer of yoga apparel. I assume that many of you own yoga apparel. If you are willing to help me, here are some questions:

-What types of apparel have you purchased?
-Why did you purchase this type of apparel?
-What process did you go through to evaluate various brands?
-How did you narrow the options down? What criteria did you use?
-Did anyone influence your decision?
-Where did you ultimately make your purchase?
-Would you purchase such apparel online?
-What are your favorite brands, why?
-Would you ever experiment with a new, start-up brand? What factors would be important to you with such a brand?

I’ve purchased gloves and socks from here, along with yoga pants from a store nearby. I bought the gloves and socks to help keep me from slipping because my hands and feet sweat so badly. Even with a sticky mat, I’m still having issues with slippage.

gym shorts and an old work tee does me just fine.

I like to wear the white Elvis bell bottom jumpsuit with the rhinestone I got off ebay
It always brings conversation and smiles
Cheers

What do you guys think of the yoga products on my site? www elavate dot me
Check out their video…it is all manufactured here in the US and they use organic fibers.

I have several thoughts.

The first is that there’s a sound reason this forums has a minimum post count before being able to post urls. That is in place to prevent drive-by marketing. If a person wishes to be a part of the community then of course they are welcome to share their services/products in integrity. So new users are welcome but less so when it seems their motive is to “sell” something right out of the gate. A first date is probably not the time to drop your trousers.

My second thought is that your post initially asks about yoga products on “my” site. However in the next sentence it says to check out “their” video. This confuses me. Is it your site or their site or …

Third, once I visited the home page AND entered “yoga” in the search field I got one item in my results - a yoga mat bag. Further confusion.

Gordon,
Thanks for your feedback! It is my site, but I feature products that are manufactured by other companies. So, it is technically their video, but I am using that content to share their compelling story with my customers. Our focus is on startup or emerging brands and many of them have great stories - in the case of NESH for example, they are made here in the US, and use organic fibers.

The search thing that you mention is probably due to the fact that we have not done a great job in putting in meta tags on our products. Quite frankly we are a startup, so we do not have many brands up at this point. Improving search is important but will be something we focus on down the road a bit.

Thank you. I really like the concept and absolutely understand the nature of “startup” and what is involved there. So much to do, so little time, so much organization required.

I hope its a smashing success.

This is true! Thanks for your well wishes. If you have yoga students looking for yoga gear feel free to mention us! We will be putting more product on our site from Nesh in the days to come including new yoga pants etc.
