Yoga for frustration

Hello everyone,

Can somene please recommend yoga posses to release frustration and anger.
I am new to this site as well as Yoga - where i currently live there are no yoga classes so i plan on looking on youtube with your recommendations as a source of learning…

I prefer using relaxation, meditation and Yoga Nidra to help with frustration/anger.

The Buddhist practice of ‘mindfulness’ is also very effective. Find out why you are frustrated, what makes you frustrated and try to find practical applications within your schedule to reduce it.

I apologise if this seems over simplistic, but when we get caught up in our own moods, it’s difficult to take a ‘back seat’ to them and just be an observer. If you can manage to do that though, it’s the first step in overcoming all forms of negativity.

Yes i agree, I like the practice of bringing your fire down rather then trying to use it up :slight_smile: Yoga Nidra is great! as is a gentle practice. I had a student who used to really benefit from the poses with pressure on the forehead… such as child pose (balasana) down faced worrior (adho mukha virasana) as this helps with calming the nervous system… and simple balance poses such as Vrksasana (tree pose) etc…

I’d say just keep going! And good lack with you yoga journey:)
