i have these medical conditons and would like to know which yoga positions would be best to do.
I read about acid flux and some who ate papain was releaved from it if i recall it correct just google it. I dont think asanas will make your stomach work better. Maybe you dont eat correct or have other problems inside your body. Also bee pollen has many enzymes that is good for intestines and digestion. Why dont you try them both. Bee pollen have made my stomach less swollen and less gases as well.
The hernia i dont know about. But i found this, which makes me wonder did you see a doctor about this? That would be the first thing to do. if you ask innerathelete here about what could strenghten that im sure he could help you if you already saw an doctor.
Treatment
The goals of treatment are to relieve symptoms and prevent complications.
Reducing the backflow of stomach contents into the esophagus (gastroesophageal reflux) will relieve pain. Medications that neutralize stomach acid, decrease acid production, or strengthen the lower esophageal sphincter (the muscle that prevents acid from backing up into the esphagus) may be prescribed.
Other measures to reduce symptoms include:
Avoiding large or heavy meals
Not lying down or bending over right after a meal
Reducing weight and not smoking
If these measures do not control the symptoms, or you have complications, you may need surgery to repair the hernia.
thanks for replying. yes i have been to DR and am taking acid reflux med daily. have been following the do and don’ts for this malady and eat accordingly.
i have read that some yoga positions can put pressure on stomach pusing it up up to esophagus…forward bend for example.
just wonder if there is a summary of which ones would cause added pressure or stress.
takes time to go thru each pose and read about it. not sure if there is a person who teaches yoga in my area who could provide advice.
for my hernia…same thing as above.
maybe someone has had some experience which can be passed on to me.
Many people say meds for flux dont work but if they work for you its good.
Maybe there also is a hernia forum where you can get advice from others with same problem the more info you can get the better. Search for innerathlete and send him a message. He has good knowldge about asanas and he is a teacher so he would be able to help you i hope.
