The approach, from a yoga therapeutics perspective, would depend on the assessment of your mobility and stability. Determining an origin for the issue you mention is directly correlated to a remedy.
For example if you are a bus driver and you sit in a seat with posture x for six hour shifts then it would be pertinent to discuss hwo this might be altered AND how yoga (asana) might counter what you’ve done or are doing.
Likewise if you are pigeon-toed and a marathon runner it would make sense to intervene either in your femur rotation, your activity, or both.
To just belch out an asana or two that is “good” for the hips would not fit into my definition of integrity as a teacher.
Your issue needs to be assessed by a skilled teacher so a diagnosis and prognosis can be assertained.
I am new to Yoga & this Forum. I would much appreciate an answer to the following question from Mukunda or any one with any suggestions, Thank You.
I am a 55 year old male who has in the last 2 years done much to improve his health & life style (Ayurveda, organ cleanses ? Liver, Kidney etc, Meditation). As a result I have improved my health significantly, however I have a persistent minor pain on my right hip, it feels like a joint pain. Has been there for atleast 4 years probably an old injury. I am convinced I can tackle this problem via Yoga.
Could anyone suggest an asana I could build to help me with this issue.
Thank you & Pranam.
