Are there any seniors in this forum that would like share your experiences if your are in the same level?.For the more experience I’d like to know if
after how long after breakfast or before diner I can start doing yoga?
Also if you don’t mind I’d like to obtain a dvd for audio
cassette about, guided progressive relaxation, which would you suggest? I wish to thank you all for your kind replies in advance,

hi araucano,
Well come to the forum.
Great starting point:
Try JFS series ? Joint-Freeing Series also known as Pavanmuktasana, very beautifully described in his book ? Structural Yoga Therapy by Mukunda Stiles.
The same series can also be purchased as a DVD, by the same Author.
Check out Mukunda?s following web site:
Yogatherapycenter.org : : Welcome
I am over 50yrs old, I came to yoga recently (about 2 yrs ago) ? and JFS has been a great starting point in Yoga Asanas for me, it has made it possible for me to move on to more challenging Asanas.
Hope this helps.
Best Wishes,
Namaste,
Fin

Namaste and Welcome. I am not a senior, but I am a teacher and would like to advice you on this. The avarage rule is two wait at least two hours before or after a meal before you do yoga. Preferably eat light easily digestable foods.
Mr Relax,
I am 66 year old man from india. I have gone through many books and video teachings of some expertise and selected a few asanas and some pranayama exercises which are permissible as for my state of health.I am doing this for the past 13 months. ihave never had any reversal in my health. But some of the great tachers say that we should not follow blindly to the sayings of every person. Instead we should finda very comepetent teacher to advise us properly. then only we must start practicing the yoga. What do you say?
Namaste

Hi Lars,
I have checked your website.
God has given the Eternity to people to enable them to learn German.

Wow Lars,
Cool stuff for happy people… If ever I am in Germany I will practice at your ashwam!
Okay i am not a senior. Just my 2 cents anyway. I generally like to do my yoga on an empty stomach. So that means my last meal would be at least an hour before.

Well, I respect the advice of Baba Ramdev to practice yoga (any kind of yoga) FIVE hours after meals.

Hi there,
This is not yoga related. Yesterday I read in my newspaper a nice story. A
gentleman was retired, but tried to keep active in sports, cultural life etc. But he did not have a job. He was not looking for a job but enjoyed his
retirement.
He went a few days a week at the gym, at 7:30 am. He met a gentleman, looking definitely older than him. He asked the older gentleman: “Are you retired ?” The older gentleman answered: “No, I have a job, I work. Bu I plan to retire in 19 years from now.”
Guess the age of the older gentleman. He was 81 (eight one) years old.
Good example.
