Yoga for sexual energy?

Hi all,

I’ve spent most, if not all, of my life repressing my sexual energy and I now want to start to bring it back into my life. I want to be that guy who radiates sexual energy/aura/magnetism.

I’m also aware of the healing qualities of sexual energy as it can burn through blockages, barriers, etc.

I’ve been doing an exercise where you arch your back on the in-breath and curl in on the out, then circling the hips clockwise and then anti-clockwise. The first time I did this I noticed an intense energy I think in my chest area. Made me laugh heaps and felt amazing. It went away and haven’t felt the same level of sensation again. I also experienced this a few days earlier but more intensely about an hour after listening to a hypnosis on cultivating sexual energy. Is this a feeling I can experience on a regular basis, or is this something being cleared?

I did notice the next morning I had this really confrontational half-dream, that moment where you’re half awake in a dream state. It was out of character and the situation wouldn’t even remotely happen in the real world, so I’m thinking that something got released.

I’m looking for poses, practices, meditations, any simple thing I can do on a regular basis to cultivate more sexual energy. I think I read somewhere that there are poses that the longer you hold them the more intense the sensation of the sexual energy…

Thanks!

It looks like you are one of those who never understood yoga in right manner. Yoga does deal with sexual energy but it is about making its optimum use. Suppression and Activation both are opposite ends of madness.

As long as you have desires associated, you are light year away from results.

Try to be in the middle of opposite poles. Thanks

+1. Excellent piece of advice. Thanks for that.

Hey Soham, appreciate the advice but yoga is not this or that. Yoga can be something different to each person. I am not looking for spiritual enlightenment. I disagree with the analogy of suppression and activation being opposite poles. Its views like yours that frustrate me.

I would appreciate any advice on how I can achieve my goal.

Thanks!

Hi Magnatolia,

I saw your previous posts and I think there are lot of details on your question of “Yoga and sexual energy” posted in replies.

What has caused you to seek this kind of “sexual yoga”? What is your age?

On the assumption that you are looking for a “quick-fix” solution, I want to point out that Yoga is more than a thousand years old, but “Viagra” is more popular for sexual energy than “actual Yoga practice”

If your question is about “aura/magnetism” (minus the sexual energy part) or “halo around your head”, that is possible with proper understanding of not just Yoga but lot of philosophy and life and life’s purpose in general. Only a few people on this earth are capable of that, in my opinion.

I was benefited from your mention of “Sat Kriya”. I am practicing that for a couple of days now and I see it as a good add-on onto my Yoga practice. Thanks for that.

I am not looking for spiritual enlightenment.

My advice was not for spiritual enlightenment, it is for preventing someone to stop chasing own tail because it will lead to no results. Else you would have seen results when you have spent most of your time repressing it and that means you have not wasted it at all so you should have massive storage of energy already.

Yoga can be something different to each person

You are right. It is unique for every person.

I want to be that guy who radiates sexual energy/aura/magnetism.

Hypothetically even if this happens… what is next?

But choice is yours , you are free to lead the life the way you want. My best wishes…

I’d not confuse “aura” with the other two terms - “sexual energy” and “magnetism”. The field you radiate, when properly attuned, is not for aggrandizing your ego, adding a notch to your belt, or tallying a conquest.

“sex god” is not the kind of divinity yogis aspire to.

I’d be honest and say yoga is not wholly required to be more sexual, or feel hornier.

Just be physically healthy, think about sex more, and engage in sex more.

These all help the average person raise his or her sex drive. Of course there are natural rises and wanes, and of course physical conditions that can raise and lower it.

Two books come to mind:

Jewel in the Lotus, The Tantric Path to Higher Consciousness by Sunyata Saraswati and Bodhi Avinasha (Nov 8, 2002)

and

Taoist Secrets of Love: Cultivating Male Sexual Energy by Mantak Chia and Michael Winn (Jun 1984)

Both books discuss channeling the energy released during orgasm into the sushumna (spine) by combining visualization, pranayama, and bandhas.

Hi I made an infographic with 6 yoga poses I think help improve sex. Hope it will help you.
